Very classy looking rig right there!
ThanksVery classy looking rig right there!
Nice looking setup budAfter adding my Decked drawer system and filling it with gear, and overland rack, the rear sag was getting bad. I got my Deaver add-a-leaf from CCE installed and man what a difference. Even pulling my 14’ 2 axle enclosed trailer with my RZR backed in(rear is heavier) and pretty far to the front of the trailer, the truck sits pretty level. I don’t notice a stiffer ride at all.
One bad thing I will say about Deaver or CCE(who ever is to blame), despite many customers feedback posts, the new centering bolt/pin is wrong and the hole in the spring is not drilled out to the correct size. I even asked them before ordering and they assured me it was a direct bolt in. Some of the posts complaining of this date 2 years ago. You would think they would have remedied this by now. Do better CCE/Deaver.
Next on the list is 1.5” springs for the front. I lost about .75” when I added the winch bumper and winch.
Also I’m talking to an overland fabricator out of Ruidoso NM about building me a rear bumper with dual swing outs and quarter panel protection. This will require cutting into the box from the taillights to the wheel well.

Who are you talking to?If you haven't already you should enter a picture in the truck of the month thread!
I've been talking with an up fitter in NM to perform some serious surgery on my rig.
I entered TotM an hour ago like you said.Who are you talking to?
I met Travis from S.O.B. Fabrication this weekend and saw a few of his builds and chefs kiss. Very nice stuff and very reasonable in price but he’s currently about 4-5 months out on custom 1 off pieces and I will have to leave my truck with him for 2-3weeks because he’s never built anything for a 3rd gen Canyon

I've been talking to Walt at T.A.V.. They work closely with companies like KibbeTech and DirtBox on top of supporting a well-known team in the Baja 1000. They do amazing work with midsize trucks especially Toyotas. He prefers the Ford and Ram because of the solid front axles but he's ready to do a GMC now and we have worked out all but the finest details. I had a six figure shortfall this year so I'm rebuilding funds to pull the trigger on this full size overland build.Who are you talking to?

Coming from the rock crawling world I understand about the solid front but I also own a Ram 2500 Cummins and the AAM 9.25 is absolute garbage. I’ve broken every part in that thing at least once and don’t even get me started on the unit bearings. A set of tires last longer than the wheel bearingsI've been talking to Walt at T.A.V.. Although when I have the cash for this project I will probably sell this AEV 2500 and purchase a Denali ultimate 3500.
That's crazy. Well I tried all the models of ram and I just can't fit in the driver seat. I know it sounds weird but where I need to position everything my head hits that crossmember in the roof.Coming from the rock crawling world I understand about the solid front but I also own a Ram 2500 Cummins and the AAM 9.25 is absolute garbage. Is that a DuraMax? If it is hit me up when you’re ready to sell. I’ve been thinking of replacing the Cummins RamI've been talking to Walt at T.A.V.. It is a Duramax and I'm very impressed even before it's broken in. I am seriously debating installing everything FASS makes right now along with a few BANKs parts or waiting to see how quickly most of the EPA nonsense is eliminated next year. Without all the government parts installed these engines are amazing and have incredible potential for more. But if left stock they literally destroy themselves. Is that a DuraMax?
