1500 AT4 aftermarket wheels and tires - what do you have?

Ok guys, I have searched and read everything I can on tires. I think both Nitto and Toyo have a few non E or F load rated options out there that should be quieter on the roads, less heavy and have a smoother ride but I can't find much on those. Can anyone share pics or experience with:

- Nitto Ridge Grappler 275/60R20 116T XL (32.9x10.98) 47lbs
- Nitto Ridge Grappler 275/65R/20 116T (34.09x10.98) 52lbs
- Toyo Open Country AT3 275/60R20 115T SL (33x11) 42lbs
- Toyo Open Country AT3 P285/60R20 114T SL (33.5x11.5) 48lbs

I believe these will be very similar, I think Toyo manufactures both, but I'm curious if anyone has experience with these and can report on:

- Ride quality vs stock 20" tires
- Road noise
- Tire size and any rubbing (please specify if leveled and any trimming)
- Any pics?

This would be for my 23' AT4, will do a Ready Lift 1.75" level with UCA but need to stay under a 7' garage door :)
I have the Nitto Ridge Grappler 275/65/20 on my 2020 AT4 stock suspension. Really happy with them. No rubbing and pretty quiet on the road. Not a lot of difference in noise compared to the factory Bridgestones but handle wet roads and snow much better. I have no problems fitting it in my garage but I do have an 8ft door.

Hi all. I'm wanting to get a set of Fuel Rebel 6 wheels for my 2020 AT4. Running Ridge Grappler 275/65/20 on my factory wheels today with no rub and no trimming. Wanted to know if I would be better off going with the +20 offset or the +1 offset and if any one is running these and if there is any issues with caliper clearance.

Thank you, great info! I’m on the fence between 18” and 20” because I live the AEV style wheels and they’re only available in 18”. If I go 20”, I’m sold on the Nitto RG 275/65/20 116 tires.

Also should probably mention I lost a mile or two per gallon after putting them on.

+1 to liking the existing but 18 is too small for it once leveled.

Using the Fuel Blitz 20x9 +20 offset with 295/60R20 Toyo Open Country A/T III tires (33.9") - mostly no rub except full lock in reverse it slightly touches the front back mud flap.

I put black Gorilla Lugs on the truck and black on black center caps off ebay.

EDIT: I left out that I'm using Readylift UC and 1" top strut spacer but not the lower piece as this is an AT4X.
How are you getting a 33.9" x 11.8" tire to barely rub the mudflap?

It only hits it at full lock on compression. I'm sure if I take the truck offroad (again) and try to push it I will hit it more but for now its very light.

Note it could be a different flap on the AT4 than the AT4X but I'm not entirely sure.

What is your wheel config? I’m looking at a 20x9 0 offset or an 20x8.5 +12 offset and my wheel guy insists the RG 275/65/R20 (34”) will rub.

Just got Ready Lift 1.75” level kit on, along with Fuel Variant rims gun metal grey, with 275/60R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
I was curious what kind of differences you noticed going from the 265 to the 275s, fuel and acceleration with the Duramax?

I purchased Fuel wheels with Michelin Defender tires. I wish I would’ve gone to 18s myself. I went with 20s because it came with 20s but I wish I would’ve gone smaller now.

Grabbed a set of Nitto Recon Grapplers 285 70 18 with RockTrix 18x9 -12. Truck has a 2” level and Readylift UCAs. No trimming or rubbing. Slight hum at highway speed but not bad at all for an AT tire.

They handle great and the truck feels more nimble.

For those who have switched from 20s to 18s or 17s, have you noticed a difference in ride quality being better, more plush, etc.?

I origiinally went with an 18" Fuel wheel -13 offset, with a 33.9" Nitto RG tire. Then I decided I didn't like the 18" setup and went with a 20" wheel -19 offset and a 33.9" Nitto RG tire on the 20" wheels.

To compare, the 18" Fuel wheel and tire rode fine, but I prefer the ride on the 20" wheel and tire. Same dimensions for the tires, both 33.9". The 20" is a tad wider (about 12" wide I believe) than the 18" tire (which was 11.5" wide at the tread). The 20" combo feels and rides better IMO. The 18" setup was a little mushy in comparison. It wasn't a big difference, but am happier with the ride and look of the 20" combo.

Do you rub your front mud flap on turn at all and what kind of spacing do you have between it? Cheers
