RECALL FINALLY ISSUED ON 2021-2024 6.2L V8 (L87)

Did he get the recall notice on his app or phone. I have not seen anything on mine even when I looked up the vin. I have the 2024 gmc sierra 1500 at4 4x4 with the 6.2 V8L

You should see it eventually as I have the same truck. If not, I'm sure you'll get a letter in the mail. I'm reading that GM will start sending letters out the first week of June and that's when dealers will start scheduling for service.

If you use myGMC app , go to help center and you will see recall and warranty box. If effected it will show you message

This truck is a steaming pile of shit.
Most expensive vehicle I’ve ever bought, by 2x.
It’s been out of service for over a month. Over 2 weeks for an ECM issue, and they fried the fobs when trying to reprogram the module and had to wait to get new ones, and over 2 weeks for multiple issues concerning the head unit, and the charging pad, neither of which is actually fixed.
And now this.
I pray my truck fails the inspection so I can force a buy back.
What needs to happen is that a lawsuit is filed against GM, and force them to buy back all these frigging piece of shit trucks.
I will never buy another GM product that is with new, or made after 2017.
These trucks are not worth 1/100 of the price.
Fuck GM.

I sent the recall to to him. Then he called dealer. He did not get a letter from GM

Yes, for sure you can crawl under your truck and see the sticker. I just went out a few minutes ago and crawled under the drivers side door and found the sticker. I'll attach a photo. You can see the sticker up behind the blue wire, but unable to make out the actual numbers because it is really difficult to get the iphone to focus correctly. I purchased my AT4 in November of '23 (24 model year); engine number N123297. So I suppose they will have to replace the engine. I spoke with the service department here locally yesterday and they said that GMC hasn't offered a "remedy" yet and they wouldn't be doing anything until contacted by GM.

Changed my oil on my Yukon Denali which already has had an engine replaced after I Talked to dealer they are going to use

One is dexos branded ,gm wants that buts really expensive and not hardy found . That’s why I called since was going to use normal 0-20 that is dexos vs this .

I’ve got the recall on my gmc app for my 22.5. My brother has a 2023 Yukon Denali ultimate with 6.2 and his app doesn’t show it.
