New 2023 AT4X let the mods begin!

I here ya, busy weekend.
I am heading out on my little two hour road trip to get my windows tinted, here in about an hour from now.
Takes about an hour for them to put on the tint then two hours back. Probably stop and visit some friends in the area wile I am there. Pretty kills a Saturday, but I enjoy the little road trip, and my hometown tint shop has always done excellent work.

How dark are you going on the tint? I just matched my back windows and did the same on the brow

Will do my truck is getting a ceramic coating this weekend and I won't get it back till Sunday afternoon and with the Super Bowl I don't know if I will have time. Plus we will see what the weather is like but I will keep everyone updated. I still need to get a new clip that I broke when I was adding my wireless charger

I am going to do either a ceramic or graphene coating. Will do it myself, don't think doing it outside in cold weather is a great idea and my garage is chock full to the gills with building materials/etc. I will be travelling back to Nebraska in a week to do another 3 week job (finish work on the entire inside of a new house), and will have a garage there I can use. Hope to have the time to do it there. All the videos I have watched of ceramic or graphene coatings, it seems like a no-brainer.

I went with the Adam's graphite coating. My garage is still full from my move and I just couldn't do it outside with the way the weather has been here. So I found a good guy and just decided to pay him to do it.

I always go 20% to match the back windows . Technically Just a hair past the legal 30%, after 35 years of going with 20 or darker when I was much younger. Never had an issue.

The shop I use has used Madico film for decades .

I am using this Top of line nano ceramic Wincos film today . I typically go with this one for closest match on GM .
Black Pearl matches a Ford a little better.

Do you mind me asking how much the guy is charging you to do the coating?

I could probably find someone to do it fairly reasonably, but kinda wanted to do it myself also. I have heard $1000 or more to have a truck ceramic coated.

I think he normally charges like 600-700, but he his going to be giving me a discount for being willing to work around the weather and how it affects his shop, and the fact that I am supplying the coating and other things since I already had them and was planning on doing it anyways until I was recommended to him from the guy who did my tint.

Sounds like a good plan and you are going to get a good deal! Let us know how you like the coating once it's on!

I will. My last truck had the C-Quartz UK 3.0 and didn't really like it very much. I am hoping I will like this one, I have grown very fond of Adam's products so we will see how this goes.

Thanks! Looking forward to your feedback!

Less than a grand is a heck of deal on ceramic coatings . It’s more in the 1800-2400 range around here. That does include paint correction ahead of the ceramic coating. Still not really worth it to me on a white truck . I hear it’s good stuff .

I know. On my last truck it cost me about 1200 out in Cali from a guy I had done business with and was friends with. Out here I think he might have quoted me 650 or 750 if I remember correctly. But it also includes paint correction (hopefully doesn't need too much) since I just got the truck in Dec.

I will find out the total tomorrow when he drops off the truck lol. I will let everyone know. Then if you want to come spend a few days in KY you are more than welcome to lol

Made it home .
New pics now with the window tint done.
