New 2023 AT4X let the mods begin!

Sounds great! I did a muffler delete and the drone is bad. Definitely getting this Corsa. Thanks for these inside the cab videos. Really helps out
Thanks.
Glad I could help.

I have noticed that my AT4 exhaust videos have gotten by far the most interest / plays of anything I ever posted.
I spent hours listing to other videos trying to decide what I wanted to do with mine.
The most important thing was always how it sounded in the end.

So now that I have lived with my setup a couple months now. I have to say the only thing I wish was it had turned out a little bit quieter on cold start up.
Normally it seems just right to me.

That first start in the morning seems to be a little louder than I had hoped it would be.
Nothing I can't live with, overall, I am still really happy with how my setup turned out.

truck looks awesome! especially with the antenna deleted.

random question if the diesel was on option for the 23' at4x would you get it? I know from reading your posts on here that you had a the diesel at4 before. I'm wondering because I am doing my research trying to decide to either wait for the 24' at4x diesel option or just bit the bullet and get the 6.2. I never had a diesel before.

Simple answer is yes, I would have bought the Diesel again.

I only liked the appearance of the AT4X and only with the new AEV front Bumper, and I wanted the new interior.
Now that I have the new interior. I am thinking the old saying that the grass isn't always greener may apply here.

I do love the sound of the 6.2L V8 now that I have the Corsa muffler on it, but I have other cars and trucks with V8s that sound just as good.

The main reason I would easily have chosen the diesel again is the fuel range, it really is crap in this gas version.

MPG seems to hang in the 14-mpg range with my max ever only hitting 19 mpg with this 2023 Gas truck.

My diesel AT4 with similar wheels and tires, had averaged around 18 mpg with a max ever of 31 mpg.

I am thinking Ford has a massive 36-gallon fuel tank offered on the F150s, RAM I think has a 34 gallon on the RAM 1500.
I want to say this AT4X has a 24 gallon with no optional long-range tanks even offered.
GM simply has not offered long range fuel tanks on their trucks in many many years.

For me to want to buy this gas version again, it would have to be offered with a larger fuel tank.

Yeah the larger fuel tank on my ram 1500 it’s good and bad lol obviously put more fuel in it but price is more expensive. I think leaning towards the at4x with the diesel will be a better option just for the overall fact it can get way better mpg out of it on a small tank as well. I’m surprised GM doesn’t offer a bigger gas tank just doesn’t make sense when other manufacturers do.

My biggest complaint with my 23 AT4X 6.2 is the short range with that measley 24 gallon tank. 28 gallons on a big V8 should be the minimum.

But it is what it is. I feel like my MPG have gotten a little better as I put more miles on my truck. Nearing 10K miles now, had the truck a little over 4 months. I have never noticed an increase in MPG after the truck "breaks in" as is often purported. Just never happened for me on any truck. Always felt like car salesman BS to be honest. But it seems like my mileage has gotten a little better these last few thousand miles.

Even though I have been towing my big job trailer more, especially on some longer insterstate trips through very steep mountain pass interstates, the MPG seems to be getting a little better when just doing regular driving and not towing. Lifetime trip meter shows 13.6 MPG, but again, a lot of trailer towing on steep mountain roads will drop that lifetime MPG. I feel like normal driving - even in the mountains of Montana, which means a lot of chugging up steep roads - is inching towards being better. Have the front end levelled, 34x11.5 Nitto RG's so bigger tires will take their toll. And always have 300+ lbs of tools/materials in the bed. Normal drivng (not towing) I am getting 15.5 to 17, depending on winds/weather (still snows a decent amount this time of year here). Probably better than any gas truck I have owned. Most of the gas trucks I have owned over the years struggled to get 14ish since I always had the fronts leveled (had a 6.5" lift on my 2014 Sierra) and always put wider wheels and bigger tires on. For a truck with such a big engine, it really isn't bad honestly. Just wish it had a 28 gallon or larger fuel tank.

You have pictures of your truck?

You have pictures of your truck?
I do. I posted a bunch here in other threads, but will post some here in this thread also.

I actually went and talked to my local tire shop guy this afternoon. I am swapping my current wheels and tires, which are Fuel Contra 18x9 -18 offset on 34x11.5 R18 Nitto RG's, for Moto Metal M0970 20x9 zero offset on Nitto RG's 34x11.75 R20 (295/60 R20). I want a bit wider tread, and not as much sidewall. Plus I have had those same Moto Metal wheels before, and liked the look.

I am also getting the 5000lb airlift rear air bags, and I already have the remote control compressor system for the airbags which I will have installed also. Just so my truck doesn't squat when pulling my trailer. I don't expect a difference in MPG with my wheel/tire swap as the new ones are about the same size and weight as I have on my truck now. I have about 8000 miles on my current tires and wheels and my local tire guy always gives me good deals, so I am doing the swap at a reasonable cost.

Rig looks super clean my dude!

Rig looks super clean my dude! What level are you running? Also super random but I hate having an old school antenna on my hood is there any real downside for just full out deleting it?

Thanks! The only level the AT4X has out there is the RC 1.5". I also have the RC 3.5" improved angle UCA's.

I am not a fan of the old school antenna either. There are a couple shorter antenna's on Amazon that I haven't pulled the trigger on yet, but probably will at some point. I don't use the actual AM/FM radio, so deleting it would only effect the AM/FM radio. I had taken off the factory antenna on my 2020 AT4, never put anything else on in it's place. Probably should do the same on my AT4X also.

I still don't have my aftermarket black/red emblems/badges on my truck. I took them off about 3 months ago, have had the replacements for about 2.5 months, but have yet to put them on. I think the chrome factory emblems are kinda ugly on a truck without other chrome. Just need a nicer day on a weekend here in Montana to wash my truck then install the 2 sided tape emblems. It snows a lot here yet, plus I live on a mountainside so it is damn tough to keep my truck clean. Snowed about an inch today over the noon hour. It shouldn't take me more than an hour to put the emblems on, just need to do it, lol.

Dang man it still snowing there! Up here in my area of Canada snow stopped about a month or so ago. We get a ton of snow during the winter and then usually stops around April/May.

As for the antenna that’s my plan is to just delete it all together since I don’t listen to FM/AM radio. Did you put a plug in there in its place or just leave it bare?

I live in one of the coldest places in the lower 48 in this particular area of Montana I am in. It snows every month of the year here usually. I usually don't lose the last of the snow stanidng on my land from winter until late June. I do live at 6100 ft on a mountainside covered with thick trees, so that keeps snow around longer. Have had several 4th of July's in my 22 years living here where it snowed, 4 inches on the 4th one time. Most of the snows this time of year don't stick long, but that doesn't mean it is any fun, lol. I expect we will get hit with a few 3 to 6 inch snow nights yet before actual summer gets here.

I never did put any kind of plug or cap on my deleted antenna on my 2020 AT4. Probably should have, but never did.

Yeah dude that’s a lot of snow lol. A province over or as Americans a state over haha is Alberta and it’s snows a lot there and gets down to -30 to -40F during winters. I can’t take that kind of cold.

I’m patiently waiting for the 24’ ordering banks to open hoping it’s soon I’m getting too antsy. Slowly doing research and getting a mod list of things I want to do to the truck. List isn’t long but should have a decent amount. Probably won’t even see the truck until next year if that once ordered.

It is very cold here also. We usually have several different spans of up to a week multiple times a winter it doesn't get above zero. Brutal weather. I am honestly considering moving to a nicer climate at some point. My brother moved down the the Florida Keys 3 months ago... he loves it. It is amazing there. But he didn't have things/people tying him down at this stage of his life like I do. So here I stay for now.

I don't think I could stomach ordering then waiting. I know GM is getting faster on fulfilling an order currently, but still not my cup of tea. Two of my cousins ordered Sierra's and it took over a year for either of them to get their trucks. They ordered them fall of 21, got them late December of 22. They were promised the trade value of the trucks they were trading in would NOT decrease even if it took a long time for the vehicle to be built and delivered, but once their trucks finally arrived, the dealership did not honor their word on that. They each lost about 6K trade value from what they were told. I mean, I get that their trucks were worth less with over a year more worth of miles on them, etc, but if a dealership says something like that they should keep their word.

If you do order, post on this site how the order process goes and how long it takes to get your vehicle.

Yeah I’m honestly not looking forward to the ordering then waiting part. Also the fact if I go with the diesel option it could take even longer. Here in Canada is by allocation as well so I have to find a dealer that gets an allocation of an at4x and also will honour preferred pricing. I think states has something like preferred pricing as well where GM is affiliated with certain companies that get a decent discount on certain vehicles. Honestly I would try and get the dealership to have my trade in writing and make sure they honour it. If they don’t which is a high chance they probably won’t lol I’ll just post a shit review I guess and call it a day. I’ll for sure break down the process of ordering(hopefully) when the time comes which I’m hoping is around summer time.
