New 2023 AT4X let the mods begin!

Update: New wheels and tires came in today .
Had the tire shop harvest the OEM sensors from the oem set.
Just got home from the tire shop .
They were not able to initiate the sensors to the truck but driving it a couple blocks the truck picked them up and all is working well again .

Love the new wheels and tires . I think the all black fuel covert works/looks a lot better with bronze trim the X came with . The grey and black looked great on my 21 AT4 and on my 23 HD Denali.

The new Falken tires are much smoother and quieter than Nitto Recons .

New size is 305/65R18 10ply load range E in English generic terms 34x12.5 to be exact 33.6x12.3 .
Rims = Fuel Covert all black 18x9 +20 .

Nice! Tires and wheels look good! I like the height to width ratio of your tire size.

Also, glad to hear your TPMS sensors are working now that you have the OEM sensors back!

No, 100% stock suspension.

Tried a few lock to lock circles, no sign of rubbing. Took on a 25 mile little drive just now to test it some more. No vibration at any speed 0-75mph. Very quiet, and smoother and quieter then the Oem wheels and tires, as well as a lot smoother and quieter then the Recon’s I had on it.

I am so happy with this combo, I am very tempted to order another set of these tires just have for future use. Main Reason the load range E version that I went with is being replaced with a heavier, 12 ply load range F. There is still a lot of these 10 ply versions still out there in the distribution channel . I am just so very happy with how the truck is riding and driving now, it is like a different truck.

Also took it to back of my property where I have some areas where I can articulate the suspension a bit and still no rubbing.

Just love the look, stance, ride, comfort, quiet, traction, everything about this new combo.

Another interesting thing I noticed , tonight. With these new tires . AT4X is basically the same height as my HD 2500.
Took a tape to the center of the top edge of the tailgates to verify . The AT4 and the HD 2500 both measure 58”s.

Oh, about forgot. Picked up my GMC rubber bed mat. I have always liked having a heavy rubber mat on the bed even with a spay in liner . Just like how the rubber mat holds stuff in place .
Like before the mat got installed my tool box was sliding around in the bed. Now it stays put.

I just have that annoying super whisper quiet factory exhaust.
Was going to go muffler delete.
But I chickened out over concerns over drone issues others have reported.
‘Corsa has patented anti drone tech in thief mufflers, yet still offering a free flowing open type design for peak flow at wide open throttle. It is my hope that by putting in a high flow drone canceling muffler in there, that it will still sound awesome only without drone, and not too loud for a daily driver.

Same for me - quiet stock exhaust. I did clamp open the flapper valve yesterday, and that seemed to add a little low rumble. Not a lot, but a little.

I am right with you on the muffler delete - I just don't want to chance drone issues. I have figure out which Magnaflow muffler is the correct one for this truck, just still contemplating if I want to go Magnaflow or another brand of muffler. Very interested in your Corsa and how it sounds, plus if there is any drone.

Looking forward to hearing the results of your muffler swap!

I am interested in the muffler swap and what is involved. Hate how quiet my truck is compared to my deleted Denali HD duramax was with straight 3" pipe no cat or DPF.

Here
I am keeping the two resonators and the cats. Removing the very large factory muffler along with the flapper valve.
Installing the 3” offset center Corsa muffler in place of the removed muffler and removed flapper valve.
Watched a tone of videos with sound clips. Seems a simple muffler delete sounds great, and is quieter then the 2k aftermarket’s full systems. I am certain that is because those full systems also removes the factory resonators. Only reason I am putting in a new muffler, is to take advantage of its drone canceling abilities or claimed ability.
Also plan to have them heat up that hanger on the droopy driver side tailpipe to push it up even with the passenger side tailpipe.

Should end up very similar to this guys setup. He deleted first then went back and added a borla attack muffler that looks about like my Corsa that I am going with.

The Borla Atak crate muffler does sound good.

Looking forward to how your Corsa sounds.

Yea my drivers side tailpipe is droopy verses the other side. Must be a GM thing on this model truck.

Looks like adding a shorter aftermarket muffler in place of the long oem muffler you'll need a piece of pipe in place to make up the difference so at minimum 3 welds.

I think that will be the case with any aftermarket muffler. The stock muffler on my 23 AT4X is 29" long in the body, with the inlet and outlet it will need to be 33 to 34" long to be long enough to not need any extra piping welded in.

I have been looking at Magnaflow, as I want a little more low rumble (not a lot) and especially no drone. The longest Magnaflow I can find is 22" long body with a 28" overall length including the inlet/outlets.

I am not for sure going to do a muffler swap, I may wait a while to make the final decision. I may even do a different brand than Magnaflow, I currently have the Mangaflow as my top choice because it is not as loud, supposedly has no drone, and has the low rumble I want. I don't want the higher pitched sound some mufflers have.

I wanted to just bolt on the muffler myself - wouldn't be hard to simply cut the old one out at the right spots then bolt the new one in. This would probably save me $150 to do it myself over having a muffler shop weld it in. But it might not be feasible or a very good option if one has to bolt in an extension pipe to get extra length since the stock muffler is longer than aftermarket crate mufflers. The advantage to bolting on myself is it makes swapping out for a different one if I don't like my first choice easier and cheaper than welding, plus of course saving some money.

I will probably spend the extra money and have a muffler shop weld it in if I do it and hope I made the right choice on muffler for sound and drone. I have listened to so many videos for sound differences, but almost always the videos are of a slightly different year or model, most of which (if not all), have a different stock setup for resonators, pipe size or layout, etc.
