New 2023 AT4X let the mods begin!

Well, that is good they are cheaper!

But not surprised there is no stock available.

In your situation, were you using older ones from a pre-refresh model that were already on your existing wheels?

In my situation, all I did was change wheels and tires. The TPMS system seemed to work for a day, but since is not working. I have yet to go to the tire shop, but I think all they can do is take the wheels and tires off, check the sensors that way, then put them back on. But honestly not sure. I don't think the reset tools work on these new ones and I have no idea why my truck is now not seeing the sensors. It would actually be easier if a reset tool did work.

I have tried the auto-reset function 4 times now to no avail. The truck just never see's any of the sensors. I can't see my month old sensors being bad. I also don't know why new wheels and tires would make much difference in how they work, but honestly don't know.

I hope you get your new sensors soon!
So your wheels and tires now, those have your sensors from your original wheels and tires that came on the truck in the new set?

The whole working for while thing is normal. It takes several miles of not detecting the sensors to actually trip a fault.
I knew mine were not reading even though the truck was showing pressure in all 4 tires it showed everything was fine.
I knew it wasn't because it was still showing the PSI readings of the tires and wheels I had just taken off.
You have to drive these trucks several miles to initiate the fault.

Spoke with Range today.
They are working on a solution for us, basically a new version that is compatible with the refreshed 2022 and 2023 model trucks.
Best guess I could get our of tech support was 4-6 months out.
They do not have a waiting list or anywhere to sign up for news updates.
Just have to wait and keep checking back on their website for news updates.

Sending back the RA003 today since it is not compatible.

Good question.
I will have to check my glove box.
I am curious if those are the same and if they are as specific to each model year or group of years like the vehicles tend to do.
Then every time you trade trucks could mean having to change the sensors in all the trailers too.

I just trimmed my rear mudflaps on the front fender wells... meant to check my glove box for extras also. Will do that later today. Doubting there will be any there though.

I would assume they are the same OE set. I didn't ask, haven't been back to the tire shop yet. If they swapped them out, I will not be very happy. The owner of the tire shop - long time owner who works there 7 to 7 6 days a week - is very experienced and knowledgeable. I would bet he knows the 2023 refreshed models have a different set up with the new auto-reset TPMS sensors, but maybe he doesn't. Will definitely be asking him though, thanks for the heads up!

And yeah, I bet that was what happened - I drove the truck about 10 miles home - TPMS screen showed all was fine. Showed 2 tires at 38, one at 40 and one at 42 psi. Then the next day I went to town, they still showed they were working, but once I was done with my first stop/errand and started the truck back up, then the warning came on they weren't working. My phone (GMC app) and email both got notified that the TPMS system wasn't working.

So yeah, they probably weren't working, I just thought they were.

I am a little bit curious if they didn’t harvest you OEM sensors from you OEM tires and wheels, did they install any sensors at all in your custom wheels and tires?
Just a thought.
If you have your invoice you might be able to extract some info on what was done from your invoice.

Yeah, good question. I doubt they did harvest them, as I have done a lot of business with this guy over the years (avg trading for a new truck about every 3 years, and always get tires/wheels/front level done), and he treats me really good. But he has like a dozen guys working in his shop - he is super busy. So it is possible one of his guys either screwed one up and they thought they could replace them with aftermarket, or one of his guys simply just took them.

But I doubt it. Good thing is, I do have the spare OE set in my truck, just looked a half hour ago. Worst comes to worst we can give those a try.

He hand writes his tickets, I doubt it would be on the invoice. I can look though.

Thanks for the reminder .
Not in the glovebox but they were in the truck . Mine were in the rear under seat storage tray .
They are 433s but they are not the same as what came on the trucks wheels.
These trailer sensors are metal .
Still not sure if they could be used on the trucks wheels but I know they would look like crap on my black rims . So I know won’t be using them. That said not sure if the sensor portion could be attached to a different rubber stem.

Yea, I have been pushing that dang cancel button now for 3 days, already sick of trying to remember to shut that blasted start stop crap off.
I had a range plug in start stop defete device on my 2021, worked great, only time it didn’t work was if the low fuel light was on and it would go ahead and shut off at stop lights.
the autostop eliminator works

Did everyone get 4 extra sensors in their glove box at time of purchase? I plan to add them to two trailers I usually pull my motorcycles on. Or the extra ones just not the same as the trucks sensors. I wouldn't know the difference I never mess with wheels or tires on my vehicles, I'm a keep it stock kinda guy.😬
they are part of the trailering package that is part of the AT4X

Yeah, that is what I have in the glove box. Should have known they were trailer sensors.

I do wonder now though, since I traded my stock wheels and tires in, if they just didn't even bother to take off the tires to get to the sensors in the stock tires.... quite possible. I will call the tire shop and ask him tomorrow. You'd think he/they would know the stock sensors would need to go with my new wheels, but it is possible they forgot to snag them out of the stock wheels/tires.

Nice !!!
Thanks for the tip.
I hate having to pull the dash apart to install it, but at this point, I hate the start stop crap even more. I am going to look for some how to videos for the 22-23 refreshed models.

True I like this because it just remembers the last setting. You can go back and forth if needed. what really sucks is that you have to remove the seats to move the center console to get to that portion of the dash. so the work for the AT4X might be too much.

Yea, have a feeling that’s what’s going on with yours. If your Oem sensors were in you new custom wheels your truck should be reading them no problem.
i know now my issues is my 2021 sensors are simply not compatible with the new frequency they are using on the 2023s. I am 100% sure if I harvest my Oem sensors from my Oem rims to put in the custom wheels and tires, I will back in business.

I found this video for installing on they say 22.5+ silverado Sierra with bucket seats .
No seat removal. But I know the top of my dash does not have that same pocket behind the big screen. Not sue how to get to those bolts or what else has to be removed on a premium model GMC dash.

Oh nice I haven't seen this video yet. I had to move the center console to install the wireless charger that GM left out of my truck because of chip shortage and it was a pain but I am happy I did it.
