How crappy are Bose speakers!

Every one to their own. I hate the boom-boom sound; midrange and highs are what make my ears perk up.
It's not "boom boom". You can dial in the bass with the knob to individual liking. Don't like the "boom boom" either. Besides, from all the years of shooting, I'm a little deaf now!

My only complaint with the Bose system was the lack of bass. The kicker sub fixed that and I have zero complaints now.
$100 in sound deadening would have done you just as much as the kicker sub. The doors are barely sealed and sound proofed from the factory. Mine front doors had maybe 60% of sealant on the weather protectant layer and they came off like they had no adhesive in the mix.

I don't seem to be bothered with mine; they sound fine to me. Others have gone to town and spent 5-10k on replacing speakers, amps, subs, etc.
Yeah mine are fine for my use. I am no audiophile, though. It all sounds well enough for me, though. More important to me is the source (Pandora has crappy, muffled sound for instance). Good source for audio is the main thing I can tell a difference with.

I haven't read through this thread yet to see other comments, but I will and assume there are a good number of people not satisfied with the speakers/sound. It is fine for me, though.

I subscribe to Spotify Premium and its 320 kbps; sounds fine to me but then again I don't want to start changing audio components; I accept the way it is or go spend 5-10k on replacing everything; there's no middle ground for me, its all or nothing for me. I did that in my Mercedes Benz, 4 channel Rockford Fosgate 4x150W amp, line level converter, Focal 165KRX2 etc. I did not install a DSC. I drove the amps to output a little over 100W RMS/channel, I still managed to damage the Focals, listening to rock music at ear shattering volumes; I can either repair them or replace them with Focal ES 165 KX2E, these can handle 120WRMS, $1620/pair. Once you experience Focal speakers, theres little else to compare. Others on this forum have done some amazing audio conversions; guess they felt they wanted hifi sound in their trucks, I'm not quite there yet.

You guys are seriously confused about my post. The $100 Memphis audio MS25 highs that come with High pass crossovers I chose seriously brighten up the Bose system for almost nothing.

There are 100s of options for speakers but the MS25s fit the Bose amp best at 4ohm 25 watts rms and 50w peak with an 87db sensitivity= as close to factory Bose amp supply as you can get. As an audiophile and engineer they make the factory Bose HI’s sound were underwater in comparison.

Just trying to help out anyone else that doesn’t wants to spend thousands on their factory system. From my research/application the Memphis audio MS25 (25w rms @ 87db) for the dash speakers and $130 MJP8’s (200w rms @ 102 db) + $80 adapters are massive upgrade to the Bose for $420+/- to the anemic factory speakers.

This wasn’t a winch, lift kit, blower, turbo, supercharger, $10k audio investment Post. For $600ish you could have an infinitely better sound system you can do yourself. $60 in peel n stick sound deadening from Amazon is worth it while you’re front door panel is off.
I like your idea. I'm going to look into it.

I definitely miss the Harmon Kardon sound system. but it included a center speaker in upper dash and speakers in the ceiling.
The Bose is doable for this older guy, but never have been a Bose Fan.
Our MH came with a Bose system inside and one outside, I replaced both with Sonos ARC and sub inside and Beam and round smaller sub outside. When sitting around partying at certain campgrounds it rocks.

After I did my system rebuild I swapped over from Spotify premium to Tidal. Dolby Atmos and hi-fi. Big difference in the sound with these better files.

I doubt if I could discern between the two in my car or truck. At home, I'd probably listen to older CDs or Vinyl.

Too much and too many upgrades. I'm good with my Bose, I'm definitely no sound engineer. When I was younger I might have cared more, though I wasn't into spending that much, would only adjust settings to try and achieve acceptable sound listening pleasure. Old school I guess..

Well I'm very happy with the truck so far although I keep buying GM accessories and finding they are not the best.
I'll let you know about the speakers...my opinion of course :)
