I just ordered the same setup, same wheels (0 offset) and tires. I'm taking off the stock 20" wheels because I like the look of more sidewall. I'm relieved to see how nice the wheels and tires fit into the wheel well without a whole bunch of trimming. I don't mind a little trimming, but don't want to butcher the truck. My tires & wheels should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I bought them from Custom Offsets. I'm debating about selling the stock 20" wheels and tires (only 2K) on them. Nice looking truck!

Nice! Best of luck getting things set up. It’s a little work, but worth it in the end.

I sold my stocks. I didn’t like the tires and would never use the set up. I didn’t get much for them, but better than nothing and freed up space in my garage.

2022 1500 AT4x

Wheels: Fuel Flux -18 offset, 4.5 backspacing

Tires: LT285-50-22 Nitto Recon Grappler

Note: Needed minor plastic trimming and has a slight rub occassionally at full turn. As you can see from the pics this wheel and tire combo can be done No spacers, and the tires stick out about 1.5" from the fenders

Question for everyone. I’m in process of looking for AT4. I’m trading in Ram TRX. Anyway, I’ve found a 2022 with the 4" Rough Country Lift with Vertex Adjustable Front Coilovers and Vertex Adjustable Rear Shocks. It has 20” (not sure specs) Fuel Rebels with 37x12.50x20 Ridge Grapplers. I am a good 2 hour drive from truck so can’t see in person. Is this setup liable to be rubbing pretty bad? The sales lady I initially spoke with really is not sure what I’m talking about. Any help is greatly appreciated! Here’s a pic of truck.

But, this picture here, I swear it looks like a 35x12.50x20. I asked her to double check and she says 37x12.50x20. Also, supposedly the previous owner left this list of mods to the truck and it says 37”.

Well, mystery solved! They ARE 35’s! It’s crazy that the owner got it wrong, haha.

With that said, would the 35’s prob be rubbing? Looks like a (-) offset wheel.

Also, how is the AT4 lifted 2”? Is it just a spacer? Would adding the 4” lift make it closer to a 6”? Or would they have been removed and the lift be the 4”?

Any help is appreciated!!

I’m gonna put my .02 cents in and it’s just my opinion BUT. I wouldn’t want a $70,000 truck with a Rough Country lift on it. Maybe on a 1990 XJ or an old farm truck, but not an AT4.
Explain? I’ve had everything from FabTech, Thuren w/ Fox, BDS even a $12,000 Bulletproof Suspension. I haven’t had Rough Country but have ridden in a few trucks equipped with their stuff and it was comparable to some of the BDS. The kit that is installed on this truck isn’t a $1,000 set of crappy shocks, a cross member, and some strut spacers. It’s a $3,500 kit with adjustable coilovers w/ 2.5” reservoir shocks front and back. I’m willing to give them a shot. Not sure if you’ve done much truck owning in the past 5 years, but $70,000 isn’t an expensive truck. Any descent truck, with options, nowadays is no less than $70,000. Maybe you’re stuck in thinking that Rough Country was a subpar company for long enough time that they’re destined to never change. Maybe you have real world experience with the same kit I’m talking about and can change my mind. But, coming from a $100,000 Ram TRX, anything I get will be <. If it doesn’t perform to liking, easy peezy, buy another lift. If it’s good, I’ve saved $3,500 I was gonna drop on a lift anyways.

To answer your original question, you shouldn't have any rubbing issues with 35's with the 4" lift. I am using a 2" leveling kit in the front and run 35's. I did some trimming and a mudflap bracket removal and the rubbing is no longer an issue, so you should be clear with a 4".

If your new question is to get everyone's opinion on the type of lift and people style preferences, be ready for a long list of dissenting views. Just my $0.02 on that.

Thank YOU, for giving me real information! It’s what I came for!

Haha, you’re right! The funny part is that I never even asked for an opinion on the lift. Some people can’t help themselves, tho! They think everyone should know how THEY feel, and should feel the same way. I understand tho, I’ve been a member of numerous other forums and they’re all basically the same. The pros outweigh the cons though, as far as valuable information.

Keep on, keeping on!

Opinions can be very beneficial, especially if people have experience with the equipment in question. I always appreciate the different perspectives as it adds more data points for my decision making process. You just have to accept it for what it is and not argue about it.
