1500 AT4 aftermarket wheels and tires - what do you have?

Thanks! Yeah, I have never heard of the WORX brand of wheel, when my local tire/wheel guy said he had some 20x10 -19 offset wheels he could mount up a 295/60 R20 tire on my truck to see if it would fit, I had no idea the WORX wheel would look so nice. I actually am buying those wheels from him, just waiting for the Nitto RG 295/60 R20 tires to come in so he can mount them on the wheels and my truck. I will post pics when it is done.

I am also putting on the Airlift 5000 rear airbags. That will give me a little more lift in the rear - adjustable to what I want since I can inflate or deflate them to my tastes or needs - this will give me a little more rear lift, and yes, the rear of the AT4X does sag more than the regular AT4 due to the nicer, but softer DSRV shocks.

I also liked the factory rims, and was strongly considering using them with a 1.5" wheel spacer. That is what I should have done in retrospect - would have saved me a couple grand vs what I did. Now I will be on my 2nd set of wheels to get the stance/look I want, although it is only costing me $1200 to trade my current wheels/tires (which have 8500 miles on them) for the new wheels and tires. Not bad really, my local tire/wheel guy cuts me good deals. But if I had stuck with the factory wheels and used wheels spacers, it would have been cheaper and given me the stance I wanted. Oh well.
Looking forward to seeing the photos and see what it looks like. I talked to my local guy yesterday. He had never seen a truck like mine and is worried about doing anything to it. He is going to talk to the guys at his other store ( a bigger store) and see what they think. The one thing he is willing to do is put the air bag system on it. I will wait and see what he comes back with before I pull the trigger on anything. I did put my air in take on yesterday and it "WOKE" up the truck and when driven right got me more MPG.

I will post pics once the new tires and wheels are on.

Which intake did you put on? You can actually feel a difference in power and notice a difference in MPG?

Yes both ways... it responds now when I hit gas and I can feel the truck go.. the sound is awesome too... I did delete the flapper and the 2 resonators off the back a few weeks ago.. put a magnaflow muffler... I went with the k&n 63-3110 intake. MPG did go up about 2 mpg once I put it on..from 15 to 17 on a 20 minute highway ride.. and roughly 15 in city now... still in break in period on truck.. I only have 2300 miles on truck, so I expect mpg to go up a little more. Now if you put your foot through the floor every time u take off it may good down as more air equals more fuel being distributed, but it's meant to maximize power and make it more efficient on "normal" driving conditions

Wow, that's a real nice improvement in all areas! I have me flapper valve clamped open. Have seriously thought about a Magnaflow muffler - but haven't done it yet. What Magnaflow did you get?

I had kind of decided to not do an intake, but with your experience in how much it helped, that will have me looking into it more again. Thanks for the input!

If I remember correctly I went with the 11259. I looked at so many to try to find the correct offset and inlet and outlet. I think this was the closest one that I could make work without having to do too much fabrications and I didn't want too much of an aggressive sound. My last truck ( a Chevy Silverado Black Widow with the 6.2) was so loud that when I left for work in the mornings the neighbors used it as an alarm clock....lol

Thanks for the part number and info! I can't remember which Magnaflow I was looking at a few months ago when I was strongly considering doing a muffler swap. Could have been that one you got.

I want a bit more deep rumble, but nothing too much. I don't want droning at hwy speeds obviously. To me, the Magnaflow offered the best of both sides - deeper, nce low rumble but not "loud" at all. Most probably think it is not loud enough.

My stock muffler seems to have opened up a bit and has a bit more growl than when I first got the truck in early January. I think the muffler shop here quoted me around $300 for the muffler and install. Might do it now hearing about your experience with doing yours that way.

The Magnaflow has a rumble to it. It does quiet down after the truck is running for a bit. With the air intake the sound is really nice. The thing about Magnaflow is the older they get, the louder they get. That was something to think about when getting it. I have some drone but it doesn't bother me too much... I did see that they offer a set up with a drone feed back pipe that is suppose to stop the drone. I never saw or heard one so I can not tell you if it works or not. Now waiting on the module so I can up grade the stereo system. That will be the next big project. I spend a lot of time in my truck and I like to listen to good quality ( and loud) music.

That's good info about the Magnaflow. And I do remember reading that the Magnaflow will open up after several months and be a little louder. I wonder if by deleting the resonators, if that makes your setup a little louder? I probably won't delete the resonators, just do a muffler swap. Probably keep the flapper valve and keep it clamped open, but as I remember when I clamped it open, the flapper valve is pretty close to the stock muffler, so maybe it would need to go also.

And your experience with the CAI is also intriguing. CAI's are not real cheap, I think around $400, but might be worth it.

I deleted the flap and put muffler with resonators. I didn't like it. The sound really didn't change much, but after I took off resonators it gave the rumble closer to what I was wanting.

The resonators make that much difference? I don't want a lot more sound, but do realize the Magnaflow is not that much louder than stock. Have watched enough YT videos of muffler swaps to know that. But also know the Magnaflow will get louder after a few months.

My stock exhaust definitely has more growl than what it had the first month or two. I still wish it had a bit more, though. Will probably go with just the Magnaflow and give it 3 months or so and then if it is not enough, delete the resonators.

You have any sound clips of your truck with the Magnaflow by chance?

No I didn't even think to do any sound clips. I found with resonators the sound didn't really change, but it was noticeable as soon as I took them off.

Interesting. I wonder if after a few months of opening up a bit, if the Magnaflow would have sounded much different with the resonators in. How much did it cost to remove the resonators? Shouldn't think it would be too much.

Didn't cost me anything.. privilege to have a brother in law that owns a muffler and tire shop... but no shouldn't cost much to cut out and put a short piece straight pipe.. keep the y and the turn down tips

Thats a nice perk for sure to have a brother who owns a shop like that!

I will ask my local muffler shop what it would cost to delete the resonators. I think they quoted me about $300 for the Magnaflow + install.

Question for y’all, I’m installing Rough Country UCA’s next week and I’m running stock 20’s with stock tires (not planning on going bigger). It’s currently leveled but I just want to make sure that when I install the RC UCA’s, they won’t rub with factory wheels/tires, will they?
