Your Vehicle Requires a Software Update

For those of you who are getting software updates done is that on a 2023 or 2024 model? I just purchased a 2024 AT4x and I am trying to figure out if I need to get my software updated as well. Appreciate the insight.

GM will let you know. Mine is a 24 AT4 purchased in March.

Update for my issue. Truck went in to the dealership to replace the radio module, however on Nov 1st GM came out with a other software update, and the tech was able to reload the radio software. I'm all updated, and none of my previous issues are all gone. Everything is working perfectly now.

What version is your head unit showing? Is it higher than Y172.6.1?

I got the letter. The letter was vague but makes it sound like its a routine update? I did have a battery drain issue in Dec 2022 and I couldn’t jump it. Long story short… the dealer had no idea what caused it and dismissed it as an update that failed? It hasn’t happened again but makes me worried that all this tech can fail and now my station presets keep deleting. I hope this does fix it all but doesn’t sound like we are getting any cool new features.

I have occasional momentary cutouts on infotainment sound but only at certain area location spots. I thought it is satellite reception, but always comes right back on. Is this normal? I haven't gotten any update software message from the dealership. 2024 AT4X 2500

I have had a few cut outs on mine when I 1st start up both before and after the update. By the time I pull out of the driveway they stop, but it's usually 2 or 3 cut outs. I told dealership when I brought truck in for new rim/tire...I was told its a known issue.

Mines never at startup only when I'm out around town at a certain spot generally.

My "guess" is you are correct about your truck. When it cuts its likely cell coverage.

Cut outs are a known issue and GM says they're aware of it and are working on fixing it with no ETA.

I have a Canyon AT4 bought Oct 24th and I am showing the last update and build shown below. I am having issues with google maps and Waze glitching when google is being displayed on the guage cluster screen and waze on the infotainment screen. Taking it to dealer Monday or Tuesday. I’m hoping they can just refresh/reinstall any recent updates.
I have no idea if this is the most recent other than it is showing Android 12.

I have a 2025 I picked up in October. I've only had one issue related to the speakers/radio and that's the noise crackling when on a phone call. I have noticed two glitches that may or may not be related to a software update. I keep my auto dome lights turned off when you open any door. However, they'll randomly kick on and I have to hit the button twice to turn them off. I also turn off the key left in vehicle reminder. I pumped fuel yesterday and as soon as I got back into the truck I heard those three honks. Here is the software its been running since it rolled off the lot.

They can just update them when they replace the motors.
