Your Vehicle Requires a Software Update

I have a 2025 I picked up in October. I've only had one issue related to the speakers/radio and that's the noise crackling when on a phone call. I have noticed two glitches that may or may not be related to a software update. I keep my auto dome lights turned off when you open any door. However, they'll randomly kick on and I have to hit the button twice to turn them off. I also turn off the key left in vehicle reminder. I pumped fuel yesterday and as soon as I got back into the truck I heard those three honks. Here is the software its been running since it rolled off the lot.

Did your crackling noise while on the phone get fixed with a software update. I just noticed this in my brand new truck.

Yes, the crackling noise issue was fixed via an update the dealer did.

I'm glad to hear that worked out for you. I actually just picked up my truck from the dealership service because I was having the subwoofer installed. I had them take a look into the crackling and they gave the typical, "Three techs looked at it and none could replicate it" response. They also said that there was not a software update when I asked.
Would you be able to tell me what version software you have installed after the update? Thanks.

Edit: I just realized that this is in the 1500 forum. I have a 2500, I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

I've learned to record everything and show them so they can't give me that "tech's cant replicate it" runaround. I'm still having issues with my dome light, which apparently GM knows about but has no update yet, and other intermittent issues that I haven't brought up to the dealer yet.

The software update for the radio should be the same for 1500/2500's. The dealer told me they applied the "Y176" software update to the modules controlling the radio and that solved the noise crackling issue.
