Also, yes. Got it last Tuesday - had it done on Friday - took about an hour and 15 minutes.

Yes also received this msg.

Right? I thought the whole point of the new system was this was no longer required for the vehicle to be brought in for updates like this.

I received it as well and had the update done last week. Not certain what it actually did but everything seems pretty ordinary.

i love how you have to bring it in for an update ......... and its a software update no details on what its for ....... when are they bringing back the over the air updates ?

No details and it takes an hour plus to accomplish...
Very suspect

I also got the email and got this update a couple weeks ago. It takes 1-2 hours, has to be done at dealer, and it fixes the intermittent sound cutouts on the infotainment system (among other issues) and serial data gateway module

Now my sound system only cuts out once.

I got the email today. I had my truck in Monday for the update plus one other warranty thing I had them take care of before it turns 36K. At about 33.5K right now (23 AT4X).

I was not real happy as I thought with this new email that I was going to have to take the truck back in again for yet another dealer pushed update, but after reading this thread I am thinking the email was just late and GM's email people have no idea who has or hasn't already had their truck in to the dealer to install the new electronics update.

Maybe it's an update to cure the ota updates that locked up and drained the battery overnight???
