What did you do to your AT4 today?

Not today, but I dropped it off at the dealer yesterday. I did the last OTA update last week at home in my garage and I noticed that the truck was struggling to start this week. I put the charger on it for 24 hrs and started it yesterday morning to pull out of the garage. Another weak start, but I shut it off in the driveway. I went back out to start it 15 mins later and it was dead as a doornail. I jumped it and drove it straight to the dealership. During the drive, all of the exterior lights would come on and off randomly...I'm sure folks thought I was flashing my lights at them. Left it at dealer and told them what happened. They just called and said truck would be ready in an hour with 2 new batteries...this is my 2nd set of new batteries replaced under warranty! I think I'm going to have them do the updates from now on!

Dropped my truck off yesterday at the dealership for an oil leak. Just got the call that it was due to a seal on the dipstick tube. Not sure I'm buying that or not. I'll have to make sure the pan is clean and drive it for a bit, and see if anything shows up. Apparently my extended warranty won't cover it all either? I'm out like $250 or so.

Have you had the CCV replaced? That seal has to be disturbed when replacing the valve. It should have been replaced, but I know the definition of "shortcut". 😁

I did actually. After several months of them trying to find one. That wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Changed out the chrome HDMI exhaust tips for some black ones.....

Picked up my truck from the dealership last night. They wouldn't budge on the $250 I owed for the dipstick seal. Apparently, the warranty paid for the parts and a portion of the labor, but not the whole amount. I still had to pay a portion of the labor. And of course, when I asked about the ccv replacement affecting it (per @gemarsh ), their response was "absolutely not, that had nothing to do with it". I'm not sure I buy that, since it wasn't leaking before the replacement, but I'm not sure I wanna deal with an argument. I paid it and went home. I am going to clean everything well and see if it comes back for sure. Unrelated, but stopped at sheetz this morning and bought 4 gallons of def from the pump.

Well, that would be the exact response, until a person shows them the receipts! I knew I should have attached this, so you could take it in. I was lazy, sorry.

Atleast now you know how your dealer operates. It should have been replaced, bulletin calls out part number...

ETA,,,gm calls it a 'oil level indicator seal', we call it a dipstick tube.

No worries, thanks for this! I'll print it off and give it to them next time I'm headed that way. I'm thinking they'll still give me the run around, but with this, maybe I can run it up the ladder a bit further. Thanks fella!

Footwell lights!

Detailed write up in the thread over here:

Finally snagged some high clearance steps for a good price. Gonna be on the lookout for factory elevation gloss black 20s and go with 275/65 tires. Not sure if I’ll stick with ridge grapplers or get ko3s.
