Just installed mine a few days ago and tapped into the light green and black like many have said. Turns out it was the Red and black wires for me on my AT4 HD 2025. I did also read somewhere that some one else had the same issue on the AT4 HD it was the red and black wires. Worth testing. Well worth adding g the light bar. Makes all the difference.

Need some help. (2024 1500 AT4 3.0) I installed the Vled LPR using their relay with the fused connection to the battery. Everything went smooth on the install and tested out fine the day of. Truck started up fine, light functioned with reverse etc. fast forward to the next morning the truck would not crank until I disconnected the lead from the battery. i followed the diagram provided by Vleds support. My battery connection was to the post on the distribution plate as show in the picture attached. any idea what caused my issues?

I thought by using the relay, it would avoid issues with electrical systems. The battery was not dead or drained as the truck started with no issues as soon as I removed the connection on the battery. It would seem that some monitoring system was picking up a fault and not allowing a start.
I wonder if I should just omit the relay and try to power the light directly off the tail lamp wiring harness as some have done. Or if I should get 12v+ from the trailer 7-pin.
Just wondering what others have done on model year 24 1500s
I've been meaning to post night time pictures of the boost auto parts, tow mirrors on in reverse mod. It might still be worth it for you, if'n you still need more light. It's cheaper and brighter than the rear plate lightbar. I took off the Morimoto as it fills in with dust and snow, out here.

Well, if you're an idiot like me and thought this kit, VLEDS LPX Plug and Play, was truly plug and play, I have the solution for you. Vleds walked me through splicing this harness, MECMO, to the T of the LPX plug. Works like a charm. Apparently they are developing an adapter harness for our trucks.

That is the harness that's needed! I have been wanting to promote that harness to get this kind of thing working for y'all, but it is a putco brand and costs more than the lights. So I just keep to myself.

Now that there is a cheaper solution, this can be used for lightbars under the tailgate that are not putco, or use this harness to trigger a relay, in conjuction with a 7way tee for power to use for auxiliary reverse lights.

Do you know if he is going to test a harness for the 2500/3500 trucks I could help him there I have not installed my light yet. I did my sons 25' 1500 2 weeks ago with a T tap worked fine but I prefer no tapping if possible.
I don't have that info, yet. They are trying to get a grasp of the wiring color change on the 1500.

I would love to test this on my '24 1500.
They believe the 2500/3500 HD and the 1500 should be the same for testing purposes. They are thinking of sending a kit to each tester might make the most sense, just to confirm that. They are thinking the LPX would be the best so we can test all functions. This is the version with the red running/brake lights and then the reverse light as well. They only have 1 prototype LPX harness and 1 prototype LPR harness, waiting on test results.
