VLEDS reverse lights

I’ve been asking for updates for the last three weeks as I bought the LPX for standard trucks and got all sorts of errors. They never mentioned anything about someone testing a kit for them lol. I pretty much have a light bar I can’t use as it throws error codes like crazy. I was about to tear it apart and try doing something myself. Might reach back out to them and see what we can do

Well, if you're an idiot like me and thought this kit, VLEDS LPX Plug and Play, was truly plug and play, I have the solution for you. Vleds walked me through splicing this harness, MECMO, to the T of the LPX plug. Works like a charm. Apparently they are developing an adapter harness for our trucks.
Just spoke to them again today, and they are working on a plug and play harness for the newer trucks

Just installed mine a few days ago and tapped into the light green and black like many have said. Turns out it was the Red and black wires for me on my AT4 HD 2025. I did also read somewhere that some one else had the same issue on the AT4 HD it was the red and black wires. Worth testing. Well worth adding g the light bar. Makes all the difference.
this makes more sense now....🤦‍♂️

Regarding the reverse lights, has anyone replaced the halogen reverse bulbs with LEDs, in addition to the license plate lights? Also, I'm curious about the color temperature for matching the other LED lights in the truck. Thank you!

The reverse lights on all AT4's are non-replacable led. Halogen was/is used on the lower trim levels.

5k worked well for the license plate bulbs.

I have a 24' 2500HD AT4 and my son just got a 25' 1500 AT4 and we both feel the same way about the reverse lights being very dim. I plan to get the Vled or Morimoto tag light for both. How many have them wired to the tail light circuit with not issues?
I have a 21 1500 and it has been spliced since 1/22 (VLED). On my Ram I just tapped into the plug behind the license plate to the reverse and ground wire, but didn't feel comfortable doing it on the GMC. I haven't had any problems with towing. It goes through the trailer light checks and comes back good.

Older thread here but I see that the VLEDS are now plug n play. Has anyone tried these yet and does anyone have knowledge on brightness and or recommendation between the two, VLEDS or Morimoto? Thx!!

GM-Specific Plug-and-Play Harness
The included LP-Connect harness plugs directly into the factory taillight connector near the spare tire, ensuring a fast, no-cut installation that integrates cleanly with OEM wiring.

I put this on my 2024. I can’t imagine the morimoto being any brighter. When you’re standing behind it, it’s extremely bright. You can see pretty clearly on the camera and in the mirrors. I definitely recommend the vled but haven’t compared to Morimoto.

I installed Morimoto, but must have been faulty as it never worked. I forgot about it, until a few LEDS began illuminating. Contacted them and they asked for a picture of the original one cut from the wire lead. Did that and they sent me a new unit. Just haven't had time to install/too fuggin cold. I'll update soon as it looks like we have decent weather coming. Yay!
