I have been running the VLED's since 2019, they work great. They now make a plug you can put in between your 7 pin harness, very easy. This is my second one. They now make a brighter version of this one I am running. I have it on a 1500
The putco 60" looks great. I think I posted putco pics on another thread somewhere. In the meantime I also installed independently switched Baja Designs amber lights on rear bumper using brackets from AEV; they are very bright and useful in all scenarios particularly during heavy winter fog in this part of the world else they would probably be illegal for normal driving conditions.

One of these is definitely going on my short list of installs. Pretty likely on the wife's '23 Yukon AT4, too. That thing needs even more help than my truck! Although, I'll have to see where I can route the wiring since it's on the lift gate.
Welp just got a 2024 at4 and im in the same boat. I called over to vled and they told me I’d need to install a relay kit and run a wire all the way to the battery in order for the license plate reverse light to work on this truck.
Is that what you guys had to do? Is that the same deal with the Morimoto light?
The Morimoto technical support said they haven’t had a 2024 to test with which kind of made me nervous. I’m kind of thinking if the vleds need all of this the Morimoto probably do too.

You could take power off the trailer harness instead.
Yes, definitely. You could also buy a "tee" and use it to tap into the 12v+. That way you are not touching oem wiring...
I’m very much liking this T idea. Thank you! I’m still going to have to use their relay kit with this though right? VLED made it sound like it won’t work without it. Also do you happen to know which wires I’d be tapping into off of this T?
It all depends on how much you can improvise yourself; you could spend the $$ and order a relay kit from them or purchase a suitable 12V waterproof relay from Amazon or anywhere for a fraction of the cost, plus of course you'll need some wires for wiring and improvise the rest yourself. This assumes you have a harness for the light, something you can connect to the relay output. It's not that difficult; I always love a challenge.
What exactly is the purpose of the relay, Could you tap into the reverse light power?
The bcm will see too high of a current draw and assume there is a fault and shut the circuit down.
The relay is used to supply necessary current when triggered by the reverse circuit. The relay coil has a very minimal draw.

I didn't need to install a relay kit or anything else on my 24. Just pop out one of the taillights (either one) and splice the 2 wires from the light bar into the taillight harness. It's really easy.
