No Sound from infotainment center or turn signals... HELP (Resolved)

This just started happening today on my truck. ‘24 with about 1500 miles. No turn signal chime or sound from the speakers regardless if using radio, SXM, or CarPlay. Only happens when I first start it up, not while driving if it is on. I can’t say that I am mad about the turn signal chime being gone, but no music sucks.

Definitely refer your dealership to my attached tech notes. Mine had all your exact issues. Since having mine serviced for updates and amp replacement I haven’t had any issues

This just happened to mine 24 at4x the other day. First my sound went after I was on with onstar getting my gm app to talk to my truck (which by the way it isn't getting the miles, fuel level, etc updated). Immediately after they reset something, my radio volume didn't work.
But after turning the truck off and on, the volume worked again. This has been the only time that has happened in 1000 miles.
On a drive yesterday, I used my turn signal and on at least 2 occasions, there was no sound being made when I used the signal. Then all of a sudden, it started working again.
Electrical gremlins drive me crazy.

So I took your tech notes had my amp swapped out- was doing good no radio issues and then the 10th day from pickup sound went out at startup again. Wonder if maybe they didnt process the air update after they installed the new amp? Anyone having the sound going out issue after amp replacement?

This just happened on my 2024 AT4 at 20,186 miles and I’m so grateful to have this information to take to the dealer. Thank you for taking the time to post everyone! I’ll let you know if it’s not the issue but it sounds exactly the same. Annoying driving 5 hours and not having music to listen too for sure!

On my 2025 no sound through speakers (infotainment/turn signal/chimes) even after a two ignition restarts and one infotainment reboot. I’m skeptical it’s the amp as previously mentioned as a permanent resolve unless the amps have not been updated in new builds. I’ll check back once truck sits fur a few days.

This has started again for me. I wondered if it could be a result of a failed update. The truck is connected at home, and if it's updating and that is corrupted?? Could this be what's happening? I don't know if it can update when the truck is not on. It's just at random no matter where I am, leaving a store, appointment, whatever. The hard reset works everytime though.

I just emailed the notes to my tech.. I have a service coming up for other maintenance. I will update if there is anything of significance.

After sitting overnight sound now works. Gremlins!

From the dealership:

Thank you for reaching out. I can help get you scheduled for your next service visit. I did do a little research on your issue and it appears that the bulletin you attached has been updated to “PIT6101M”. It states that if this concern is present with your Radio RPO code (IOK) we are to update the radio to see if that corrects your intermittent no audio concern. Whether or not the amplifier requires replacement is determined by the specific details of the failure in order to narrow down the root cause. The first question would be if the audio goes away for a few seconds and comes back on by itself of if the audio is inoperative for the duration of that ignition cycle (in order to get it to come back on you have to turn the vehicle off and restart it). Which one of these scenarios are you experiencing?

It is off for the entire cycle. It generally does not work again until I reset and open the door. There are other times it will be back on after a short period of time and a restart. It never turns back on suddenly.

Response:

So due to your symptoms the diagnostic portion of the bulletin states to ensure your Radio is up to date. On your next service visit we can reprogram that system to make sure it has the latest software. In some cases that corrects the issue. GM Engineering does specify for your radio type that if the issue persists with the most recent software that we have to wait until the bulletin is updated before replacing any specific components. In your case they have not yet determined if it is the radio, the amplifier or the software.

Unfortunately for me, they have updated this system two or three times. I will remain slightly optimistic. Ultimately, I do believe they will fix it in time.

new audio amplifier
I have 500 miles on my 2024 (bought a left over) 2500HD and this has happened to me twice already. Driving me nuts! I referred to your post about having GM replace the audio amplifier. If this is still resolved, I will schedule a time to have them replace mine. Last night I checked for updates and everything is 'up to date.' Thank you for your posts and info!!

They said they have to do a factory update at the next service. They have been instructed to follow their protocols and after their updates, make a determination. I am going in a few weeks.
