I agree.
And even when the seat ventilation is working it’s not really working — at least not the way most other brands do it. The tech at the dealership had to patiently prove the ventilation was actually moving air, even on the highest setting. All the other makes we’ve had with ventilated seats get downright cold after a bit, especially in a sweaty T-shirt. Maybe it was an afterthought.
I think the GM seat material is okay. It’s the shape and hardness that I’d like to fix. I wonder if that’s due to all the machinery needed to make the massage feature work? My wife’s new Grand Cherokee has the massager seats, and they are MUCH less comfortable than the seats in her 2016 model that didn’t have the massagers. Now I want to sit in a new one without that feature just to see if it’s better.
