Duramax LZO how does everyone like this engine?

I am contemplating giving up on my AT4X order after 12 months of waiting for it to arrive. I am now considering an AT4 Diesel. I know about it’s fuel economy but how is the power, towing and reliability?
I'm about 1.5 months in on my 2023 with the LZ0 about 4200 miles and no issues as of yet. Haven't towed anything of worth (besides a bike rack). Power is enough for my needs to pass slow drivers on the NJ Turnpike and the MPG average usually around 24.5 with a mix of highway, suburban and city driving. I have had to put 2 - 2.5 gallons of DEF in but that's a small price to pay for the mileage I'm getting over the 6.2L.

Wound up being a bad shift solenoid. Going to pick it up Friday Hoping all is well or I’ll be going back to a HD.
Drove 2 hours today to pick up my truck. Get there and they tell me more codes came up and check engine light again. Said they opened a case with GM to figure out what is wrong. I told them to find me a 2024 2500 HD AT4. I’m done with this truck. 3 months old with 5200 miles I would be scared of it now even if they get it fixed. They said they would have me a HD next Thursday. I loved the 1500 but it got me gun shy now.

Now that the HD has been refreshed I’m a much bigger fan. Sorry to hear about the issues. I can relate. Mine got fixed finally so far.

I have about 1000k on the 2023 AT4 Carbon and after putting 59,000k on the 2021 AT4 Carbon the new version seems to have better acceleration and handling along with better tech like brighter LED head lamps, adjustable heads up display, larger display, faster loading Google android for mapping, better seat and steering adjustments, and better tuning on the adaptive driving controls. Had 20” wheels on the 2021 vs 18” on the 23. Great GM vehicle so far.

Love my AT4, I do wish the trans was a little smoother but not bad. Solid gas milage, tow's a full 14ft wood trailer no problem.

Several people on this thread may have this issue. I do not know why GM does not do a recall on it, would solve some headaches.
