Considering trading my 21 TrailBoss with the 6.2 for a 23 AT4 with the LZ0. Love the Boss but really want the new interior and the mileage. Worried about potential problems but I did have a valve spring break in the TB with 300 miles on it. Been fine ever since but still. Just can’t decide what to do…

I tow sxs and bass boat, as well as a mower. The mower being the most frequent. At 16k on the TB I’m averaging 14.2 mpg which sorta sucks. Diesel vs Premium…I think the mileage of the LZ0 would work out better price wise for me with the increased cost of diesel.

I have a 2014 1500 with the 5.3 that’s getting 15.3mpg with no trailer. I ordered a 2023 AT4 for the 3.0. With my current gas/diesel cost, it’s almost $0.21 per mile on my gas, and the diesel truck will be a little over $0.13 per mile.

I am contemplating giving up on my AT4X order after 12 months of waiting for it to arrive. I am now considering an AT4 Diesel. I know about it’s fuel economy but how is the power, towing and reliability?

Not to make your decision more complicated, but have a 20 3.0 21 thousand miles no problem at all pull 29’ camper No problem, lots of torque good mileage. no complaints yet.

Brandam - did you truck show any symptoms before transmission went out ? The reason I asked is I’ve noticed a shudder with my 2023 3.0 at highway speeds when I being to accelerate. Happens usually around 70 MPH when I’m slowly rolling into the throttle. On Sunday it felt like I was driving a manually transmission and shifted to soon to a higher gear with not enough power.

It didn’t it was fine and hard shifted at about 35 mph then went down hill from there .Having it put on a roll back this morning to sent to the dealer

Wound up being a bad shift solenoid. Going to pick it up Friday Hoping all is well or I’ll be going back to a HD.
