Apparently so. The only reason I ordered and installed through GM was for the warranty. Fuck the warranty and get the old unit.
Definitely lose some space but I've managed. I put my jump pack in the center console.

IMO the knob gives you lots of flexibility for controlling the bass. But hearing is very subjective . It suits me very well. I am definitely glad I have this ability and did not get the new version.

I think so man, let’s put it this way I couldn’t believe how bad the stereo sucked in my 2024 A4 1500 so when I saw the option for the sub in the HD, I told him go ahead and do it and I think it’s worth it. You’re not winning any competitions by any means but at least it sounds like it should GM is so far behind dodge in factory stereo it’s embarrassing.
