I would like to re emphasize I replaced all (except console speaker) my stock Bose speakers with higher end KS speakers. I believe this also makes a difference. Im not a big BOSE fan in these trucks.
I read through it. Basically confirmed what I was saying. Some think it adds nothing. But it seems with the knob installed there is a consensus it makes a difference. Also people agree change out BOSE speakers seem to help too. I think it is a good add on and has plenty of bass. I think if you want bass to move your truck and those around you this is not for you. My wife says it’s plenty loud and is happy. Its a hearing taste like exhaust in these trucks we all have a preference. I like GM Borla touring NOT ATAK.Found this on the interwebz. I'm going to check it out tomorrow.

GM Kicker Sub
Anyone have this? I want one really bad but then I remember I’m over 35 so maybe I don’t need it lol. https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/200-watt-subwoofer-kit-by-kicker-associated-accessories-19417164?model=Silverado%201500&year=2022&make=Chevrolet&searchTerm=Kickerwww.chevyzr2.com
We are similar in taste. My problem is very dependent on the music. There's good response to some music and next to none on others.I read through it. Basically confirmed what I was saying. That’s what I like to hear! I just want to know if it will be worth it since here in Canada it’s 1k for the sub lolThe base is fine with the kicker. it’s the Bose that are underwhelming. If you want 2 tens get 2 tens otherwise it’s a nice addition(most needed) it almost puts it on par with a Dodge stereo.
I'm starting to think I have a defective unit. The base is fine with the kicker. it’s the Bose that are underwhelming. If you want 2 tens get 2 tens otherwise it’s a nice addition(most needed) it almost puts it on par with a Dodge stereo.
Wish someone did a before and after on the sound increase or lack there of lolI'm starting to think I have a defective unit.
I'm not seeing any hope of adjustment here.Probably not. I will try but it’s pretty tight. There are pictures on the web. Its same spot as the power for the amp.
nope, thats what I have. Its a running supply chain thing where Stillwater Designs, aka Kicker, sourced different 200w amps than the ones with dip switches and a headphone jack for the bass knob.I'm not seeing any hope of adjustment here.
Wondering how you're getting a better response out of yours? Trust me, I'm not looking for attention, just some deep bass when called for.nope, thats what I have. Kobra obviously received a unit from a stock source that had the original version. If those are sold out when someone orders, you'll receive the newer version that only has the green power LED on the amp. When I talked to a tech support guy at Kicker, he said unless they source different again, all units will no longer have the adjustments on the amp.
I get it, wish I could help. As I said earlier, initially I was right where you are, wanting it out of there and my money back..just heard some muddy thump sounds. Figured they either installed it wrong or it was defective. make sure your fade adjustment is dead center, I know a lot of folks like fading to the back thinking those rear door speakers will come alive,,,they don't.Wondering how you're getting a better response out of yours?
