Banks iDash

I just installed the banks idash. Nice clean install in my at4x and the color is good.
What fields do you guys display on your idash? Here's what I picked so far but I'm not sure if they all will stay. View attachment 19613View attachment 19612View attachment 19611
Congrats! The iDash is a great addition.

If you decide you want the pod to match the truck it’s easy to make it match using the paint from Home Depot shown below.

The first picture below shows the contrast between the original Banks-black on the pod, and the AT4X interior color (shown on the insert from the A-pillar).

Some may prefer the contrast between the colors. I offer this in case you’d prefer to have the pod look like it’s part of the truck.

Just as an FYI for anyone that has the older iDash, Banks recently released the iDash Pro and iDash Pro Data and no longer sells the older iDash models. I reached out to see if the older ones would still be supported and was told this:

Eric with Banks here. We will not be releasing updates for the original iDash (now referred to as iDash "Classic"). However, we have a path to upgrade to the iDash Pro. I sent you a message. Check your message request inbox.

Kinda upsetting since the current bata firmware still doesn't completely work with the 3.0 Duramax 100%. I just picked up a second iDash also to add to my old one. I am hoping they will let me return it. I'll post back when I see what the upgrade path is.

Looks like the new one has Bluetooth connectivity and upgraded screen. Sounds like they may offer an inline Bluetooth module so the classic users get the app experience. 🤷

Well, dang. Still cannot get my idash (classic) to properly display DPF distance parameter and now they are going to stop development support for it. Mine displays once when it's turned on and then never again until a restart. And, of course no ability to force regen is disappointing.

Why can't you do a forced regen? It has 2 options, mobile for when driving and stationary while parked. Works fine on mine.

Just curious which of those 2 colors in the pic you used to get the desired color? Or did you use a combo of both colors?

Have you had the recall update performed so the OTA updates are supposed to work again? I had that done and recently many of the old PIDs (like regen distance) that displayed nothing now work again. I have not updated my iDash for at least 6 months and not sure the firmware rev, but things seem to be working again.

I have. I'm on the latest beta firmware, and my vehicle selection is the one way down the list with 2024 L5P in the string.

My old 1500 Trail Boss with the 3.0 did the same thing. I haven't gotten around to installing in my Sierra yet but I'll have to test that out.
