Had a quick question Im looking at purchasing the MBRP

Had a question Im also looking to purchase the MBRP 4" DPF back exhaust. I was about to order from Alligator performance and XDP but both companies advised me to wait due to a check engine light occuring after install possibly due to lower back pressure being detected due to the sensitivity of GM's new global B architecture . I called MBRP direct and they stated they are unaware of any issues on the 24's . I also contacted Banks as well (theirs is pending not available) and received the same answer. Have you had any issues with your MBRP system?

I have had ZERO issues with mine. No CEL and it’s been on my truck for over 15,000 miles.

Edge Insight installed with the Underdog Diesel A-pillar mount. Way more streamlined than the Banks iDash in my opinion. Also have my Banks iDash and my pedal commander up for sale if anyone is interested.

2024 GMC 3500HD AT4
Took delivery on 1/17/24 after ordering on 10/7/23. Just a couple small upgrades out of the gate. More to Come.

Got a few projects done this last weekend, just forgot to post. Trans filter should be in soon and I’ll knock out the PPE trans pan. Also got my VSE CCV system in yesterday so I’ll add that to the list. Still need to install my tow mirror tinted lights (not looking forward to removing the mirrors ). I’ll keep everyone posted. Slowly but surely getting this truck blacked out and fully modified

If you look closely, it’s not flat. Nor is it flat on the inside. People need to do their research a little more before they believe old man Banks. Other brands may still be the “flat back” design. But PPE’s is just as rounded as Banks.

Man that’s awesome stuff! I was looking at PPE mods when I was thinking of getting a 1500 but now have to look at what they have for 2500. PPE makes some slick parts!

They really do make reliable and good parts. They redesigned the rear diff to flow better. The transmission pan allows for easier servicing, better protection, and more efficient cooling especially when paired with their bar trans cooler (which is my next purchase from them).

Why would anyone say their competitors stuff is just as good? He’s also saying that PPE’s old flat diff cover design is flawed, not the new one. People just don’t pay enough attention. I call those people sheep.

I noticed they made a video of their intake system and showed how competitors weren’t as good. Not like they were bashing them but just showing flaws.

Yea. I don’t think he’s bashing, but I also just research the hell out of what I purchase. Banks is good stuff, no doubt, I just like other products more. And really the factory intake makes more torque than most aftermarket. I have the S&B and the factory intake performs better. Just more turbo noise with the S&B
