2023 Ordering Experience

Final update: I happened to get lucky yesterday and stumbled upon the exact same build that was in stock at another local dealer and it now sleeps in my driveway. I hope the manufacturing and shipping gods smile on all you folks and you get your builds in a reasonable timeframe.
Final update - part 2: I ordered a truck first week of July, never heard a peep from either GMC or the dealership until I went to the dealership in early Sept. to see if they had status. At that time they said the TPW was 9/26 and that was the last I heard from them. Between July and last week, I never received any of the status emails from GMC. Fast forward to last week and I got an email from GMC on 11/10 telling me 'congrats on placing your order'. On 11/11, I received another email saying my truck was scheduled for production. This morning, 11/14, I received another at 8:30am EST telling me the truck has been shipped and to expect a call from the dealership. Well, they were right...at 9:30am this morning the dealership called to say they have the truck on the lot and I can pick it up today. (bang head here)

The moral of this story is communication between GMC, the dealership and customer is way out of whack so set your expectations accordingly.

Order was placed 10/12, received a notification from GMC yesterday that the order has been "Accepted for Production". Guessing I'm at least 3 months away from seeing the truck...

23 GMC AT4
Titanium Rush
3.0L Duramax LZO
Premium package
Technology package
Carbon Pro package
No Sunroof
High clearance steps

That was quick...... shouldn't take that long.

My order was placed July 27th........ my dealer told me I had a build date of 12/5... then received the formal email Nov 10th that I was accepted for production. May show up by Xmas.

Interesting, why do you believe it could show up by Xmas? I sure hope I can get it this year for tax reasons. ;)

If anyone is looking and interested , I have a deposit down on a 2023 GMC AT4 that’s built and should be shipping any day from Ft Wayne, IN. The dealer is in Alabama. I ordered 2 trucks and the other dealer’s delivered first.

Summit White
3.0L Duramax LZO
Fully Loaded
Premium package
Technology Package
High clearance steps
20” Wheels
Under seat storage
Sold at MSRP $72,175 minus any GM incentives at the time of delivery
Let me know if interested and I can send the build sheet.
FYI This is no longer available.

I've seen it on a trail blazer and an Escalade. Slightly darker than the Quicksilver metallic.
This video shows a side by side with the satin steel (on a Tahoe) and it looks pretty damn close. I’m happy about this cause I like the darker grey.

Ordered my 2023 Desert sand in may picked it up 11-11-22 no constraints LOL

Is being stuck at 3800 for over a month indicative of a part on constraint? Or are the trucks coded as 3800 until they actually ship?

3300 for over 3 months…..GRR! Could not get tech package or high clearance steps when order was accepted.

'23 AT4 Diesel w/20' wheels loaded, but no steps or sunroof...dealer ordered 8/8/22...been sitting at event 2030 for weeks. Dealer has 8 AT4's (50% diesels) in the cue....says all held up by Allocation...currently no AT4's and No Diesels. Are others getting this same story...just curious...I have bought a dozen vehicles from the dealer and have no reason to doubt my guy. He did say to expect it to take 6 months possibly...but I was hoping SC constraints had been getting better.
Was notified yesterday that order finally got dealer allocation and sitting at 3300 with no TPW yet...I will check back in a week or so. Lets hope this thing start to move.

Heard from GM today. The running boards are on constraint so my salesman deleted them from the order to speed up things from GM. Dealership will install upon arrival. Waiting on GM to accept the revised order.
Things are moving along. GM accepted the order minus the running boards. I have a TPW of 12/12.

Dealer texted today, said my AT4 is scheduled for production this week. Someone from GM called 30 minutes later, said it is scheduled for production on 11/21. I'm not sure who is right but I'm getting closer.
Awesome update today. My AT4 has been produced and released to the carrier. Spoke with my dealer and he said it will be delivered as soon as they have a full load. They are so close to Fort Wayne that they just truck them directly to their dealership. That is good news that a rail strike if it happens, won't affect my delivery. Now I need to sell my 2016 Impala LTZ...
