Just received an email today. My truck has been produced and is awaiting shipping. Still haven't had confirmation on which plant built my truck. Hopefully I'll see it in early '23

Delivered last Friday, picked up Saturday 1/7.

Couldn't be happier with my color choice.

I'm waiting patiently too...mine in white is sitting in Houston since before Christmas...dealer delivery was originally 1/2/2023, but shows delayed in system.
I have plenty stuff sitting waiting for mine too. Would love to get it before the long weekend!

How long after your truck was produced did it take for your trucks to show up at the dealer? Do I have any hope for the truck to show up at the end of the month with a 1/5 production date?

Update: 11/30 I checked my order status and was told my order was accepted by GM. Asked about an event code and was told 2030.
Today, 12/9 dealer called and told me my order was accepted and had a TPW of 1/16. He said from there expect about 6-8 weeks. Wasn't even expecting this thing until June so if that's the case I'll be very pleased.
Update #2
Email on 1/11 that my truck was being built

I had a TPW of 12/12/22. The truck was built that week. The following week (12/19)the truck was put onto a rail truck. I got an email January 2nd stating it arrived at the distribution center. My dealer called me that day and said the truck would be there between the 7th and 10th. A few days later I got a phone call from the dealer saying it was being delivered the 6th, which it was. I brought it home the 7th. Hope you have similar luck, I got it pretty quickly.

Do you know why it’s delayed? What spec did you order?

Seems more a shortage of transportation from the rail drop in Houston to the dealer. Truck was built with all parts so it is not a spec issue. Supposedly it has been reassigned to a second carrier for the last week. Lots of vehicles in the area show "intransit" so delivery is rather slow in the area. Hopefully it moves soon.

Was yours built in Mexico?

Today I just ordered a 2023 Sierra AT4X. The sales guy at the dealership told me they don't even know how many AT4X they will be allocated this year. He said I was number 2 on the list. Does anyone know when dealership find out their allocations?

Here is my understanding, not sure if all dealerships are the same. GM notifies dealers of allocation on Thursdays. Most updates and info occur on Thursdays. Higher volume dealers get allocation quicker than others. Make sure you are ordering thru a dealership that regularly gets in new vehicle orders. My salesman gave me a time line that was pretty accurate start to finish, I'm guessing because they see a lot of new vehicles.

Hey everyone! New to the forum and there is a lot of great information. With the 2022 ordering experience being pretty disappointing and 2023 most likely not any better, I thought I'd start us off with my experience. Let me know yours!

Good to know. Thanks for the info. My sales guy was pretty new with the dealership and he couldn't give me a timeline. I think I will call up there next thursday and see if I can talk to someone that has been there a while.
