2022 Refresh Order Experience

So I found another AT4 with the options I wanted that was marked in transit to a dealership in Oklahoma. I put down a deposit to reserve it and now the dealership is telling me it is in Indiana. For others who have trucks stuck in Indiana awaiting semiconductors, is the truck still showing in transit to the dealership?
Mine does not show up, however there is one for a dealership near me that has shown In Transit for about 6 weeks now so it seems just like everything else there is no rhyme or reason to what shows up where. My dealer also told me some trucks are never showing In Transit and just showing up at the dealer.

Aug 14th I received a email from GM saying my truck was complete and has been released to the carrier. Contacted my dealer and they said it should be shipped by next week. On September 21st I received another weekly email stating my truck is still awaiting a shipment of semi conductors. My dealer now confirmed the same. Waiting on chip. I'm confused by all of this. Dealer was very sorry

I haven’t heard from the resolution team in three weeks. I’m going to call them tomorrow as I have my persons extension. I’m going to push the issue that it has now been in their hands for over four weeks and they haven’t resolved anything. It’s now week 16 since my truck was built. I’m beyond frustrated. I get the delays and I would be more understanding if trucks built after weren’t being delivered. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to this system and anybody you talk to is absolutely useless. There are quite a few ZR2 around me I’m considering I just like the GMC look so much more.
Dude, you and I are in the same boat. Ordered my truck the 1st week of March, it was built The last week of May and has been sitting in Mexico since. I have been told that my truck now has all the chips it lacked and is now ready for shipping. They say it can be another 8-16 weeks for that to happen. I can’t hold out much longer. It’s tailgating season and deer season is also rapidly approaching, not to mention all the things I’ve been needing a truck for over the past few months. There are 2 fully loaded ZR2s that are being sold for about $5k below their MSRP at a dealership down the road from me and I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on one. If and when my AT4 comes in I will see about trading in the ZR2 hoping the offer won’t put me too far upside down. If I don’t get a decent offer I’ll just keep the ZR2 and look to own an AT4 in another couple of years. I wasn’t even in the market for a truck this year, I’m only in this situation because my 2016 LTZ2 Midnight Editon Silverado was stolen in late January. This whole ordeal has been horrible.

Awful and once again the resolution team had no update for me. I just wish there was some info, like if I knew it would be a month or d be ok. It’s frustrating when other decisions that need to be made depend on this. My current vehicle (Audi) needs about $1500 in work if I’m going to have to keep driving it a few more months. I’d rather not put a dime into it only to have my truck show up a week later. On the other hand I also feel like I have so much time invested into this that I want my actual truck. My neighbor got a TRX a year and a half ago and didn’t wait this long.

I received my weekly call from the "executive team." The same no update so I made her work. Asked exact location, current code, etc. It took 15 minutes but she had to actually look it up instead of telling me no update. It is undergoing quality assurance! Complete BS. It was built 4 months ago. When I asked what they are checking she said that is internal information and she doesn't have access. I was nice to her but I am going to make her work. Next time I am going to ask if GM will replace it with a 23 at the same cost? How GM will address flat spots in tires from sitting in 1 spot for months. Don't let them give you a 1 sentence response and move on to the next person .

I actually called them today since I hadn’t heard from them in weeks. For once I got a rep that was very helpful and seemed like she actually wanted to get me as much info as she could. She kept checking into different systems without being asked. My truck received its chips and has been assigned to a carrier. She told me she would call me again mid week with any updates.

When did you order yours

Ordered mine at the end of March and was built 7/12. I’m in the same situation as everyone else where it’s sitting in a parking lot “waiting for chips”. A few days ago I found a DEALER ORDERED AT4 almost identical to what I ordered (no high clearance steps) that was on the lot about 2 hours from me. I went and bought it and while I was there I found out that the truck was built on 9/12 and was on their lot 10 days later. While I’m happy I was finally able to get the truck I wanted (my wife and I were down to 1 vehicle for 2 months due to selling mine outright when the dealer told me my ordered truck was built and will show up any day) it frustrates me beyond belief that there are so many ordered trucks sitting out there and this dealer order made it in front of all of them.

I can’t imagine the high clearance steps are what is holding all of those orders up but they aren’t avaible to be ordered until January 2023 and they aren’t even listed in the accessory page on GMCs website(atleast they aren’t listed on the page with the rest of the assist steps)

Curious if anyone else has ordered a 22 refresh and what your experience has been? I reserved mine in Oct and went into the dealer to order the end of Jan. Four weeks since ordering my order still sits at an 0500 code which from what I gather means it’s basically sitting in purgatory. At this point I’m thinking the dealer didn’t have allocation or there is some kind of constraint on my order. The dealer is telling me it just hasn’t been accepted because they’re getting slammed with orders. Thinking about visiting another dealership. Any thoughts?
I would imagine your truck gets moved to a 2023 model with a price increase

My replacement truck was delivered without the steps and they arrived like 3 weeks later. The steps come as part of a package not a separate line item so be sure you get them if you ended up buying a truck with the package that contains them.

My dealership notified me my AT4 shipped and I have the VIN number. Is there anyway to look up the VIN and see if it is shipping complete with no retro-fits? The dealership couldn't give me that info as they are running on half power because of the hurricane.

I'm not aware of any way short of seeing the window sticker. That's how I found out mine needs the ventilated bottom seat cushions but fortunately everything else is there.

Well this Thursday will be 4 weeks since mine was switched to available to ship out of Mexico. Had my dealer verify...it's still there.
