What did you do to your AT4 today?

Thats too bad. My 2500HD AT4X took me a while getting used to, not because of its length but its height which leaves a blind spot close to front and rear bumpers, hence always try and leave a significant gap between the vehicle in front. I thought sensors on front bumper should have alerted you somehow, mine result in seat vibration etc.

Two weeks ago while driving just across the border in BC, a driver failed to pause/stop and entered the roundabout while I was in the middle of the roundabout; I would have hit her broadside and demolished her car and perhaps even resulted in serious injury to the other driver, had my instincts not kicked in time, I slammed the brakes and perhaps the trucks emergency braking system may have also been activated, I have no way of know what actually prevented the crash.

A screen shot below from my dashcam; would have come in handy if I had to file a damage claim.

Yeah I think the front camera was activated in the infotaintment center but I wasn't looking down at my radio. And I was stopped so

Day 6 of ownership. 310 miles. I got the front windows tinted and blacked out the rear badges. I also installed a set of bed lights and those multipro tailgate light inserts. Can’t really see them in the pics because the sun was right behind me (sneaky bastard), but the bed leds illuminate the bed nicely. I hid the strip inside the bed rails but couldn’t hid it anywhere along the back. Finally, I installed a soft tonneau cover.

Got my custom Truxedo tonneau cover installed.

Also noticed today after my 500 mile roadtrip, the front coilovers settled about a 1/2”. Good thing the spanner wrench showed up today. This weekend’s project will be taking the coilovers off to add some preload to get the truck leveled back out.

Rear Baja Designs lights went in today.

Garmin switch still in box, but I may have time to get that in tomorrow.

Waiting for lots of other parts, but hope to be done with most of the mods by July 4th… don’t want to turn this rig into a big project. Just want simple, functional, and comfortable.

Looks great. Anything I need to know about the Baja lights on the AEV bracket? Mine shows up this week.

I am adding a Bedslide; a power Tonneau (from the GMC accessory catalog); an ARB Element cooler bolted to the bed slide; an ARB single compressor with Air Control option (greatest thing I’ve ever added to my Jeep!); Baja Designs S2 lights to the front (DOT approved fog lights, in amber); likely some kind of high beam supplement driving lights on ditch mounted brackets (maybe Baja LP6s or AEV 7000s); and a SwitchPros 9100 switching system (to power and control it all - I have this in my Wrangler and in my Grand Cherokee).

Will someone tell me about the Garmin switching system?

Got the front bumper wrapped in gloss black.

I like the gloss black. Never thought about it but I wonder if it makes sense on my AT4X AEV with the winch and fog lamps installed, a busy bumper here for me but would look cool if it works. I'll drive down to a local installer to get an estimate.

Ditch light mounts and lights installed. Rack system for my dimindback HD installed with my high lift jack.

What is the purpose of the the high lift jack?
For storage lol. The jacks that come with are truck are absolutely garbage, they are awesome if you get a flat while off roading. Also you can use them as a come along winch "for those of us that don't have one installed just yet lol". I love it install under the Diamond back, its out of the way, clean look, and doesn't rumble around the bed of the truck while driving.

You didn't install the silicone pads on the brackets!

Even when I had a winches installed, I always carried/still carry a hi-lift jack. They will bust your jaw if you don't respect them, but they are worth the price of admission!
