They stopped the design of the full time amber because they were getting too many issues. I will say having amber DRLs really makes the truck pop!

What issues, and who was having the issues, GM?

I'm in denial with these, every time I unlock the truck during the day my amber lights are not that bright at all. With this harness installed are the running lights somehow brighter during the day?
All the pics owners post are when its not bright out, I just don't see the appeal of this mod.

Appeal would be if owner prefers the amber running light over a white running light.... different strokes for different folks - I personally like looking if both white and amber - but in this truck I'm personally doing all amber running theme

Thanks!! GM wasn't having issues, it was Venom having issues with the harness trying to run amber at the same time the headlights were coming on. As it stands now, the DRLs are only amber during the day, but once the headlights turn on, the DRLs turn back to white. I guess there's something in the stock harness that wasn't playing nice with the harness they were testing.

That’s just a simple wire to unplug right? I bet you’ll dig the look. I had the same thought with fogs but ultimately I love the look of the DRLs. Crazy how many looks from other GM guys I’m getting

Unfortunately with Park lights on they go back to white. I was hopeful that wouldn’t be the case but any form or headlight on they shift to white.

I will offer that from a photography the amber color is one of the hardest to shoot and hold vibrancy on. The actual visual is surprisingly bright to the eye even on a sunny day. I have also been pleased with how long my truck goes before thinking the auto headlight shift on. This truck requires it to be much darker than my Ram did before Turing the auto headlights on. This these are running longer than I even expected which is cool.

thats my case, I’m going with amber backlighting on all my Diode Dynamics auxiliary lights on this truck so I love these as they match those

Both stay amber, the one opposite of turn signal stays solid and then normal function of turn signal one.

Other caveat is that if you turn you fogs on they switch to the headlight mode. I believe there might be a Boost Auto jumper that would change this function but not positive. I love all light possible at night so I don’t mind that they switch back to white when lights are on.

I am curious how they wild loom at night if they were Amber with headlights on. Going back clear may be the best way. Thoughts?

bunch of photos for brightness and comparison, I took a photo after doing one side - amber is definitely more vibrant and appears brighter to the eye in person, not sure if camera catches it accurately.

Wish I could have option to switch cab lights on....an option that would give me cab lights and fender lights with front amber, when I turn the parking lights on, up front goes white ...wonder if a way to switch the cab and fender lights on without activating front to white...

That's what I was hoping for. I have mine in my center console as I debate.
