Malouf Buick gmc in nj. Frank there is one of the best techs you can ever find and he’s the only one I let touch my gm trucksAwesome ! What dealer ?
Well did the update today, it brick the instrument cluster , nothings works , a blank screen, wtf…..
So you must have the 3.0 diesel. Hopefully the DEF and emissions system is not a problem for you. My 2020 AT4 3.0 had emissions system problems so bad they couldn't fix it, so I traded it off for my 2023 AT4X.Well took the truck to the dealer yesterday to have them reflash the truck, well needless to say the truck doesn’t want to stay running, they kept the truck till Tuesday when a diesel tech can look at the truck, joy only 10,000 miles on it.
That happened to mine the day before my truck was bricked. I didn't realize I had an OTA downloading in the background, which got stuck at about 50% the way through downloading. Not sure if this is why my infotainment system crashed completely while driving, but since the next morning my trucks entire electronics was bricked and it wouldn't even start, it seems logical the stuck OTA update download may have been the cause. After the latest update, my infotainment screen will randomly reset and restart. Anyone else experiencing this?
I had my cluster updated (2022 AT4X) and everything went smoothly. Somewhere in one of these threads, someone shared GM details about the appropriate way to do this. A key part was power supply to the truck. If power shuts off mid-update, it will brick the cluster. GM actually specifies what they need to do, but the tech has to follow those instructions. For this reason, I don’t believe it will be on OTA update (I am thinking it is updating cluster firmware which may be more sensitive than the typical OTA update things).Watching this thread. I have a 2022 AT4X with the “AT4” image on the gauge cluster at startup. Always perplexed me. I’ll check my manufacture date later.
Reading some of these comments makes me nervous about having the dealer do the software update on the gauge cluster.
I may wait a bit to see if this eventually turns into an OTA update with better reliability.
Cheers all, hopefully some of you get your troubles worked out fast.
If anyone has any new updates that would be awesome to hear.

I have had several OTA updates that have been really good. Someone mentioned above about auto Hi beams staying on between starts. At some point, that went away and required setting each time. Recently, it returned after an OTA. So, now it works like a lot of us prefer.
