Leveling Kits

Yes...35" X 12.50, 0 offset wheels. There was rub. I had to do some trimming.

What trimming did you have to do? Did you remove your mud flaps? I have the RC 2" and just put 295/65/20s Nitto Trails on, and man I'm scrubbing pretty good! Haven't done trimming yet, but thinking I should've stayed with the 295/60 as those weren't rubbing. These sure look good though!

Thank you. I did not remove the mud flaps, but I cut em up a little bit. Did you replace the UCAs?

I have asked around and lift shops recommend it, but some friends of mine that I would consider experts said that it should be fine without them unless you plan on some serious off roading. I plan on going off road, but it is not a trophy truck. I would guess that the lift shops recommend it for 1) Liability, and 2) to make more money on your lift.

It actually didn't "level' the truck as the front still sits 1/2" lower. The lift and tires have been on for a few months now with no issue. It also has kept alignment. I am just going to run with it until I see trouble.
You won’t have an issue right away, but it’s a ticking time bomb that will cause your UCA to rip off and leave you stranded. Way too many people have had this issue happen when they didn’t replace the UCAs to correct the geometry - don’t ignore it or hope for the best. Most break just with regular driving and not offroading it, plenty of people have made threads on forums about it. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache and extra cost to replace everything that breaks as it will cost far more than a pair of proper UCAs.

BTW, the truck looks great.

Do you need new UCA on a 1.5” level ….. I didn’t see anything that recommended it for that ….. and are the factory at4 control arms better the. The regular stock as far as angle adjustments ?

Thanks. I already have the arms. Just waiting to put them on.

I also have done some research and the Rough Country leveling kit keeps the UCA angles at near factory. I cant find anybody that has had any problems with that kit.

What UCA's did you go with? I installed the rough country 2" leveling kit months back with no problems so far.
I bought the Rough Country arms for the 3 1/2" lift, but I really don't think I need them. The RC leveling kit does not affect the UCA angles (allegedly).

Yeah i don't think so either. I think I might just ride it out and see what happens!

WHAT UCA'S ARE YOU GOING WITH WHEN REPLACING? 2" RC LEVEL UP FRONT AND 1" IN BACK. PUTTING ON 20X9 FUEL VAPORS WITH 285/65/20 AND MIGHT AS WELL GET THE UCA'S DONE.

Great info here in this thread! I have been looking at the RC 2" leveling kit for my '22 AT4X. Just not sure which one is the right one. Rough Country lists one for Sierra's with "Adaptive Ride" and then a kit for the AT4. Since I have the DSSV suspension, do you guys know if either of these will work?

Tim

Edit: I missed the kit specifically for the AT4X. Purchased that one plus the UCA's.
