Got a few things installed

All good feedback I wanted to hear about both the rear under-seat storage and counsel safe. I plan to get the consolevault safe when it is back in stock. I can’t find any that come with gold bars.
I also plan to get the exterior keypad added and then I can lock my keys in the safe inside a faraday bag “I think”. (To block the key left in vehicle signal).

Tuffyproducts.com $240
The gm safe is $275 for the same thing. GM originally sold Tuffy until 2020ish. They literally copied their truck safes and sell GM branded now.

The Faraday bag works. I keep a 3rd fob in one, in the crossover toolbox. Keep a spare battery in it also...

Found out on our extended road trip, we need 4 screens running! gm navigation on the center stack, my phone running torque pro, wife's phone running waze, and her laptop running a browser to know where rest stops were. Why does, gm nav, google maps, apple maps not have rest stops listed! My paper atlas's always did! Remember the little blue monopoly houses on each side of the interstates on the map?

Yeah, I'm that much old. Paper maps.

It's fine. Have it in my other 2 trucks. NE law says you have to store firearm in a locked container if left in a vehicle. It's plenty large enough for an HK, couple of magazines, and a box of kleenex for the wife. It sets low enough to use a cheap amazon tray.
👍

Had a nice weekend in the shop to get some boxes emptied. Still have more to do, but going to wait for warmer weather.
Got the dash cover layed out so it can mellow out and conform before installing the velcro...

Until next time, keep your dick out of the vice.
I bought the kit a while back but haven't installed. Please post up the work and your thoughts if you can once you do it yourself!

It's not that bad. Be better with a lift. I had all four tires on ramps, so that helped.

Everything fit as designed. Some hose clamp pliers with different angles is a necessity, unless you just let it drain and refill the little reservoir.

Is there a write up for that bed light switch? Would like to see how this is done.

I presume you went with the PPE filter after you did the fuel coolant pump relocate? How’s it been so far? I’ve eyeballed that mod for a while, as, like you, I’m underwhelmed by the stock filter size. Lots of folks on other forums are very opinionated about the PPE filters, though (and oil and filters in general) and it’s kind of hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. Interested in your first-hand experience.

The only downside is now a 2.5gal jug doesn't fill the crankcase. It's not a issue as my 2 6.6's uses a quart between changes, so I always have a opened jug on the rack.

If'n a person doesn't do their own servicing and maintenence, it might be an issue at the service dept. I would assume that a pf63 will be spun on.

I have no issues finding PPE filters, just not at napa. I haven't tried crossing over to a Baldwin or Wix, but I would guess there is one.

Thanks. I’m planning on doing this as soon as PPE gets the relocation kit back in stock. Most of the Internet drama seems to stem from the fact that the PPE filter is (allegedly) made in China and that this is somehow going to cause the filter media to break down and destroy your engine, democracy, and life as we know it. Personally, I felt like a lot of those concerns were overblown, and seemed to run in line with the heartfelt differences in opinion on fuel additives, engine oil brands, and favorite Playmate of the Month.

I agree that if I could get a Wix counterpart, I would run with that just because I’ve always had good luck with their products.

Thanks for the insight.

Hey Marsh, is this the same one? I thought the prices were double this amount or higher. I had thought about getting one a while back.
