I called it was your compressor a while back. I think you need to try another dealership - whoever is doing work for your dealer has no idea what they're doing. Not sure where you live but you might find a lot of your electrical issues gone if your truck decided to celebrate 250 years of freedom this July. I had an electrical issue with mine where it refused to remote start on occasion and my fancy scanner showed an error with the trailer brake system despite me not having a trailer hooked up... Well, when you have a free truck, that comes with solid costumer service and updates being pushed out that solve issues. If your module keeps being replaced and you are still getting the same issue than the issue isnt a module.

Wasting your $$$ on a warranty and losing time and money will cost you far more than freedom.

As far as your steering issues - your pitman arm is probably on its last leg. They don't last. My first upgrade to mine was the kryptonite ultimate steering system with a stabilizer and my steering to this day is solid.

I'm trying to be a little bit cryptic here but it has to do with emissions and unlocking your ECM.

I never had steering problems because I bulletproofed everything at about 2,000 mi. Your dealer is unlikely to cover your pitman arm. It's a wear and tear item similar to your ball joints and CV axles. They are also unlikely to replace your AC compressor unless you're experiencing actual AC problems. I've had the a distinct squeal type noise in my suburban when the AC system kicks on and off since brand new. I still have the original compressor coming up to 300,000, mi.

In regard to that video you uploaded, I think it's a software issue, not a module issue and it probably started after a specific update. I have never updated my truck since brand new. As a matter of fact, I disabled everything the moment I got home from the dealership

We’re going $3k to push the full warranties (2 trucks) out to 100k miles.

We’ve been advised it does not cover lighting.
Rear tail light went out at 109 miles and service writer showed me the WO, $1700.00!
If someone has better knowledge of this please correct me.

But factory warranty also extends lemon law coverage in Cali.

Do you happen to know if Todd Sutherland is licensed in/for the state of Florida? We have a screwy law here that we can only buy service plans from dealers that are licensed to sell here?

So the dealer is saying my amp running boards that plug into my obd2 port is causing this. Not sure if I’m believing this. As that should be just reading a door open signal. Not powering or interfering with anything.

I did the research. He is legit, works at a GMC dealer and is a national broker that turns a ton f the warranties. Easy to work with.

Torkman, could you please provide the year make and model that you got a quote from Todd. I just got a quote for my 2024 3500HD with 11000 miles, and every option you can think of on it and the prices are a bit higher. As an example the Platinum 96/100 with a $250 deductible is $ 3415. Thanks.

I know this wasn’t directed to me. But hope this helps. Those values are based on the mileage you have now. In my case 96/100 wasn’t an option. The highest I could go was 72/72 @ 3274.00 with 0 deductible, as they start from your mileage now and date.

These things are so electronically complicated that I refuse to hook anything into the fuze box or splice into any wiring. The only thing hooked into my obd2 is a banks idash. I even went as far as hooking all my off-road lights to a Garmin power switch that directly takes power from the battery.

I agree. But it’s supposed to just pull signal from the port when the door opens, the power comes from the battery where the steps and cpu for steps is hard wired. My biggest frustration is they charged me the fish fee to say this, and they have no way of knowing this is the fix. I’ve contacted the amp dealer and installer about this as now I can’t use my steps, and also brought up to the gm dealer that if it happens again, that I’ll want a refund. I’ve also wondered about the I dash, with my steps, I assumed I couldn’t add that because of my steps.
