Amp power step

I've had them on a couple trucks and zero problems. One note though, I doubt you need the "extremes" unless you have some kind of super lift. I'm 72, 8 orthopedic surgeries from a lifetime of hard work, stiff as a board, and the regular steps are fine for me.
That’s good to know thank you. They sold me on the extemes because I’m in northern Illinois and the dual motors should help with the winter crap we get up here, or they just wanted more money lol. Appreciate the reply, thank you sir!

Most likely wanted $$$. I went back and forth. Decided for the few days where crazy amounts of snow and having a relatively warm garage where the packed snow melts it, get the base ones. My 84yo MIL noticed that it was easier when I picked her up this weekend. Snow and ice are definitely a big concern for others way north. The selling point for me was the easy wiring. Into the OBD2 port and now wires in the door frames.

Well, that explains your username!

I didn't know about the dual motors, I thought they just dropped lower. I'm in California!

Unless you have added more lift to the AT4 you won’t need anything other than the base.

Measured my steps tonight. 11ā€ from floor to top of step. This is on an AT4, no lift/level kits

Have the Extreme on my ā€˜23 AT4X with no problems. Don’t waste your time trying to drill through the pinch welds. I mounted the LED lighting behind on the weld and it’s plenty of light. Only thing I’m concerned with is no lube in the gears. Anyone thought through that? AMP says you don’t need it…maybe they just want me to buy a new set every 5 years.

I’m really happy with them. Install is a pretty simple DIY if you scrap the drilling. Getting to the wiring is a bit of a pain, but it’s manageable.

Welcome.

They for sure drilled through the pinch welds on mine lol. One of the holes is too big and the grommet doesn’t fit nicely šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø. I noticed it when I was shrinking the butt connectors that they forgot to shrink. šŸ˜”.

Anyone else’s lights fall off the body of the truck. Looks like they are some sort of sticky back? I got screwed on this installation.

Installed mine today. Instructions weren’t great but they did specify the holes. I took off my stationary boards and these new brackets used the same holes. Install wasn’t bad. Wiring and securing everything with zip ties took a bit. The worst part though was drilling out the pinch welds for the lights. The whole thing took about 4.5-5 hours working alone.

I used the adhesive backs. Only 2 weeks in and no issues. Been threw an automated car wash twice since the install.
