This is my Sterling Metallic. The Ceramic Coating really makes the color pop.

Ended up ordering Thunderstorm Gray. Although they did say I have 2ish weeks to change if I want to since the 2025’s haven’t started production yet. All good colors!

Did you consider Cypress Gray? It's a new color on the 25 Silverado that is kind of a middle ground between Thundersorm Grey and Titanium Rush. Not sure what GMC is calling the color but would assume they will offer the same colors as Chevy but with different names.

I thought the Trax in cypress gray, looked more green than gray.

Quality of paints today 'in my opinion' is not what it used to be back in the day. Talking of back in the day, in 1978, I drove a 1978 burgundy colored Australian Ford Fairmont station wagon, purchased for 995GBP, from London UK to New Delhi India. During the almost 9000 mile journey it suffered chips and sand blasting marks, especially whilst driving through rough roads and severe sand storms once we entered Turkey. In any case my then 'new and now my current wife' safely reached our destination.

Whilst in New Delhi I met an Indian paint manufacturer and he concocted a car paint for the car which I had a local guy paint the car for our journey back to the UK, which never happened due to escalating war conditions in Afghanistan; the car was shipped back to Bristol UK where I sold it for 1000GBP, yep made 5 GBP profit, LOL.

In any case, we returned back to New Delhi India a couple of years later, where I had a guy fabricate/hand build a large covered three door truck for me, for travel and adventures through Northern India. This time, I went back to the same paint manufacturer and request he create an extra durable brush and chip resistant epoxy paint; don't know how he did it but he managed to do just that; the truck once painted looked stunning; being epoxy based, it took almost a week for the paint to cure/dry hard. For the following seven years (whilst we lived in New Delhi) the paint maintained its hard scratch free showroom like condition/shine, despite journeying through gruelling jungles, rivers, brush and mountains in Northern India.

Anyone want to try epoxy paints?

Still love my black cars! Polishing and maintaining my dark vehicles is a great excercise for me; wax on/ wax off :)

Another view...painted fender flares and blacked out all the emblems...
I get so many compliments on this truck and the color.
Another thing, it doesn't show the dirt like a darker gray or black...View attachment 9282
I really thought I was going to black out the emblems and switch to smoked side marker lights. I had been spending way too much $$ when I picked mine up and put it off. Not sure I will do either now. I've been very pleased with the color. I did get the front bumper wrapped black, partially to protect from bugs etc.
