What's new

23 Infotainment Center issues, IDK what to do anymore.

I’m hoping they get it fixed this year. My wife’s 23 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy works amazing and so does my 23 Honda Pilot Elite. I still love this truck though!
Agreed. I’d say Honda has been at this a long time - and Hyundai just in general has been nailing it (the new Honda/Toyota). GM is very new to true technology and OTA updates - so def will come with glitches. Every vehicle we’ve owned has had something of an issue. Tesla updates almost every two weeks. BMW is obsolete and only 7 years old - has old cellular chip that is no longer supported (at year 4)…. So no more app connection, etc.

I’ve got less than a month and 800 miles on my AT4X….so still the new guy. The Duramax is amazing (little too noisy in cabin) - but coming from a 5.3L - the BabyMax is effortless through most of the band.

Mine does exactly that. Truck is going in tomorrow for a bulletin that came out Jan 4th. Hopefully this fixes the radio and the fan issue that happened to me once but is also mentioned in this programming update.
What was the outcome?

I have not had any issues but only started it a couple of times. Out of warranty (40k miles) so it cost me some money. I need to contact stealership tomorrow because they charged me $225 to program it. $55 for the programming and $155 for something else “related to the programming “. The $155 was for the blower motor so im not sure if they think they’re charging me to troubleshoot something that i told them was related to the program update, according to the bulletin. Kinda of crap to have to pay for an issue we had no hand in causing but whatever.

No I did not have an issue this week after the most recent update but of course it started happening again. I do have an appt at the dealership for them to diagnose the issue. But this is the first time I have had it in so more information to come.

Mine does both on Apple Carplay. It will skip 2 or 3 times after 2 mins of driving then the music will play like usual. Yesterday the music completely stopped about 30 mins of driving (the song was downloaded, so not over network). Now if I just have it on bluetooth, it skips the song here and there at the starting of the vehicle, 2 to 3 mins in the truck driving. I never had this issue in a 2017 Tundra, bluetooth is not a new tech and I know it had bluetooth 5.0 which should be amazing, just not in a $70k+ truck lol.

I had this exact issue. Go to your dealer and have them install software that has a build number that starts with Y171.X. Anything that starts with Y164 or Y161 will not solve it OTA. See attached screenshot. After I finally got the right technician to look at mine they figured out how to get this version! No issues since!

Since my update to Y171 i have had it go silent for a split second within a couple of minutes after startup. Only does it once or twice then done. So if it’s still doing the same thing 171 didn’t take care of it.

I just checked mine and the build number is Y167.4.2. I will take my truck in one day to get the update, hopefully that works. Thanks for letting me know!

Did the same - mine is y169.3.2 - if aligned with kernel - it’s March 2023. Having a 1k mile check and oil change next week - will ask them to update because it says no OTA available “up to date”

My OTA as well says up to date, my kernel says Oct 26th.

I did the factory reset and solved a host of issues.
Doors closed.
Vehicle On
Hold down “end call” for 10+ seconds until screen goes dark/starts to reboot
Turn vehicle off
Open drivers door for 10 seconds or so
Close door.
Restart vehicle
System will reboot. Faster. Accurate GPS. Music plays quick.

When I asked dealer about software upgrade said not for this vehicle - even showed him the rev differential from here. They don’t know what they are talking about.

After going twice to the service department to fix my infotainment issues and no luck, I do not know what to do anymore. I been having daily music via Bluetooth issues and it will skip or stop the music, constant lag issues as well and go luck trying to get carplay to work smoothly. At the service department they installed the same update both times which was (QIHM22-B-00708) . Does anyone have contacts at GM that can push an update or know what to do?
I went to my dealership and there is a bulletin on this issue. They did download a file and as of Monday 1/22/24 I have not had an issue.

Went to my appointment got my 2023 GMC Sierra Denali back from dealership 1/22/24. They found Bulletin 23-na-183 for radio software concerns. They uploaded the top software in the attached and so far no issues I hope this helps.
