2022 Refresh Order Experience

This is kind of ridiculous. Sure miss the days of walking into a dealer and buying one on the lot or at least having one found locally for a dealer trade. And then paying at or below invoice! Now I am obsessed with codes coming across Message Us bubble on my computer screen for the privilege of maybe eventually getting a truck at MSRP.

Honestly it bothered me at one point. But this opened the eyes for auto makers, this happening is making some big brands consider the no dealer buying process.

Don't know if any of you have bought a Tesla before, but the experience is amazing, you don't deal with salesmen trying to upsell or try to convince you to buy something you don't want because what you're looking for isn't available. Honestly, if this is what has to happen for us to get to that buying experience on every brand, then sign me up! No dealers, just show rooms with cars to look at and test drive, and leave after that. Decide for yourself on a website what you want to buy or not, pay up or finance and boom, you're done. Nothing left to do, but wait to take delivery.

You have a good point. That is the way they have always done it in Europe and is probably where we will end up. I am just cranky because of the expectation adjustment. I think I might actually miss the "dealer dance". I have purchased many vehicles and had the game nailed down. However I have a Rivian R1S reserved and fully understand and expect the new Tesla pioneered buying process you talked about and agree with you that it will be a better experience.

I'd like to see pics of that Rivian once you get it!! 👀

Hi All. Ordered my AT4 Refresh (Titanium Rush) several months ago. I had a targeted production week of 4/4/22. Hoping that it all holds true as I am selling my other truck this week in preparation! Located in Alberta, Canada. This will be my first full size truck and first American vehicle. It seems much harder to track the order in Canada, as I can't view it on the website.

I had a production week of 3/28 for my Titanium Rush fully loaded AT4 except for carbon pro bed. Checked everyday last week and stayed at event code 3400 and check today 4/4 and still have a TPW of 3/28 and at event code 3400.
