2022 Refresh Order Experience

Maybe someone could help me here
Order 2022 refresh at4 3/16 from a large dealer in KS.
On 5/2 received a call from the dealer saying my order was accepted by GMC. However it’s 5/28 and still have not received an email from GMC. Should I continue to wait or what should I do to find out what’s going on. I don’t l have a confirmation or order number and was never given one. I put 1k down when I ordered the truck.

Your dealer should be able to give you your order number. Then have them submit your email to gmc for the email updates. I will say though after this whole process, gmc chat and the email update are not very accurate. Most reliable (still lacking) info so far has come from the dealer. They can give you event codes and see where your truck is once built on vinview.

Just keep talking to your dealer. Every time I’ve contacted GMC chat, they’ve given me the event code, but have said to talk to the dealer for more info. Dealer gave me a better update than the chat did.

3/21 TPW, actually built on 4/29… landed at the dealer 05/25

2.5 OEM performance series with resi. Will be installing next week.

Speaking of shocks, I’m annoyed that I’m spending $71k on a truck that I have to replace the rear shocks on immediately. Rancho is such garbage and GM knows it…ordering 5160’s while on sale

I didn’t find them that bad on my drive from the dealer(took some pretty rough back roads). The truck actually feels smooth.

spoke to my dealer today the truck is in PA about 4 hours from us and could be in any day now. Went through the financing and everything worked out as expected all papers signed just waiting for the truck to arrive at this point

Last update I got from GM was that my build was at event code 3400.

Dang y'all are getting info from GMC chat! They won't tell me anything. They keep telling me to check with the dealer and won't give any event codes. Dealer says TPW is next week though!

You gotta be persistent until they have you speak with a live person on the chat. They ask for order # email and phone # associated with the build.

Same update email as last week. Not sure if the truck was built already if they would have included that info in their update email. Hopefully next week's email says it was built this week.

You have to be persistent with the chat agents. They are very inconsistent. One day I was told my TPW was 5/30 and I checked again a couple days later and was told there was no TPW yet. I disconnected the chat and tried again and was told 5/30. Just customer service everywhere some agents are great and others it’s their first day. I’m jealous of the people getting emails though. I only received one when my order was accepted. When I checked yesterday my build was still this week so fingers crossed it’s moving across the line nowZ

I contact chat a couple of times each week and always get the same, “check with your dealer” response. Trust me, I’m good at being persistent.

New to the forum but wanted to post my timeline. Ordered my truck on 2/7. Order Accepted on 4/21 with a TPW of 5/2. Truck showed up at the dealership on 5/25. Absolutely love the truck and has already been put to good use. Got the Titanium Rush color and it is not very purple IMO. More gray and black and blue than anything.
