I believe they all have it. Its a terrible feature and i turn it off as soon as I start the truck.
That is nice. All GM vehicles I have driven have them, but I haven't driven the 2500's... yet.2500 gas does NOT have auto stop, I’m sure the diesel does not either
Mine does not.2500 gas does NOT have auto stop, I’m sure the diesel does not either
i bought my truck used and the previous owner disabled it because I've never had an issue with it. anybody know where to look for the module.I can't speak on the HD trucks, but the 3.0 1500's have it and I hate it ha. I need to just buy the module and turn it off completely.
There’s a few different ones, could be on top of the battery, or inline on the main ECM harness, or behind the dash trim where the button to turn the auto stop on/off is.i bought my truck used and the previous owner disabled it because I've never had an issue with it. anybody know where to look for the module.
yeah when i start the truck the HUD says auto start stop off. so its in there somewhereThere’s a few different ones, could be on top of the battery, or inline on the main ECM harness, or behind the dash trim where the button to turn the auto stop on/off is.
Or depending on the year some COVID trucks never had it installed from the factory due to chip shortages.
I know several just plug in the OBD port, Just under the dash in front of your left knee towards the corner. My Idash plugs into it. They do make a plug to fit it with 2 plugs, which allows you to hook up your Idash and pedal monster or auto stop disabler.yeah when i start the truck the HUD says auto start stop off. so its in there somewhere
ill look into that today thanks !I know several just plug in the OBD port, Just under the dash in front of your left knee towards the corner. My Idash plugs into it. They do make a plug to fit it with 2 plugs, which allows you to hook up your Idash and pedal monster or auto stop disabler.
Since I have the same HD cover and may have asked before but how did you mount the traction boards? I'm finally getting around to ordering 2 tool bars, spare quickfist clamp mounting kit, a pair of 160lb gas springs and a passenger side putco molle mount with a bunch of molle mount clamps. Not sure if the Putco MOLLE Passenger-Side Panel is worth $448 plus taxes and all but its made fir for the GMC hence may be ok.Traction boards mounted.
So depending on what your mounting on the tools bars, the riv nuts that come with the tool bars are not very strong. They were rubber. They held, but failed after a while. So I used my own steel riv nuts and bolts to mount the tool bars. They now hold the weight of the hight lift jack and traction boards. I used the mounts linked below. Just modified them to attach to the tool bars.Since I have the same HD cover and may have asked before but how did you mount the traction boards?
