What did you do to your AT4 today?

I'm gonna give y'all your Friday laugh...at my expense! Came home early from work today (nobody cares, as I retire in August) to install the underhood light that I've been putting off for at least a month! It'll take me 10 mins...I don't need to get out my fender blanket to catch any dropped parts...I'll be good! An hour and a half later, I had the wheel well liner off and the airbox completely removed! I dropped a screw in the wheel well from the airbox and a pair of pliers behind the headlight. Whatever you do, don't drop anything behind the headlight in that cavity! Either the headlight has to come out or the airbox! It was not fun...but I didn't have any leftover parts (always a good sign)!

Then I came inside to the UPS man at the front door with a kegerator as my gift for Father's Day from my wife and kiddos, BUT....it's damaged and has to go back as I await another delivery! I may just stay home all weekend!

Technically you wouldn't have any left over parts if you left the screw. Right? 🤪

I call this a huge win in the wife and kids category! A kegerator is great.

And to celebrate your good luck I’m prepared to come to your house to make sure the new system works properly once it’s been replaced! My testing shouldn’t require more than a gallon or two.

Got my truck back on Friday after getting the windows and windshield tinted. Also had paint protection film put on the whole front end, a-pillars, mirrors, and door sills and installed black factory exhaust bezels.

Yesterday I installed the Fox 2.0s, Fox 2.5s, and Cognito UCAs. I screwed myself and forgot to order the spanner wrench, so I didn't adjust any of the preload on coilovers. I'm kind of disappointed because it's not perfectly level, about 3/8" of rake still, but I think it looks a lot better either way. I'm going to leave it for now until I get my wheels back from the powder coater and my new tires installed to see if I need to raise the front up more or not.

A few little things and one big thing.

Started blacking out the badges that remain.

Removed side AT4 badge and rear Sierra badge.

Installed mini antenna so I can stop hitting the garage door with it.

Installed kicker door speakers and a JL Audio 10

Got rid of the black “wrap” on the tailgate. Just looked strange to me — like painting one door flat black. I also started replacing the emblems. I know this won’t be an improvement in everybody’s eyes, but I don’t like “plastic chrome”, or any other chrome, so I’m removing it.

Yeah I'm not a fan of blacked out badges on a black or dark blue truck, so I'm not replacing them. I detest plastic chrome also, but what's a guy to do?

But on a white, gray or red truck, I'd be all over it. I think it looks awesome. And I'm a chrome guy.

Yeah the black wrap on the tailgate of the AT4X HD reminds me of the family truckster. They just stuck as much shit on it as they could so it would stand out from the lower trim levels. Cadillac used to do the same thing.
