What did you do to your AT4 today?

Two light coats five minutes apart, and then 6 heavier coats 20 minutes apart. I’m thinking that my heavy coats may not have been heavy enough thought.

Hmmm, that's double what I put down but I only did the front and rear GMC emblem's which as you know are easier. I would certainly think you have enough coats down. You're not the first person I've heard that has had trouble with the little 4's. Did you try scoring it prior to peeling? That's the only other thing I can think of.

How long did you wait after the final coat before peeling. I’ve seen some conflicting advice to peel after a minute, after an hour, or after two hours. I waited about a couple of minutes.

A somewhat successful attempt to black out the tailgate emblems on my AT4 using Hyperdip. The GMC and Sierra emblems came out OK but I’m not having much luck with the 4 on the AT4. I pull off too much of the hyper dip when exposing the red in the 4. Tried twice today, I’ve had enough, will try again tomorrow

I used a toothpick to score the inside of the 4 after each spray - inside of the 4 peeled off perfectly.

Banks iDash installed this morning. Happy Easter. Putting that A pillar back in almost defeated me. Probably spent just under an hour and a half. Hope everyone else had an easier install.

My problem was I had different emblems. 2 were more embossed raised and the other had a deep line around the 4 where it was easy to peel the dip. I just ended up leaving the 4s chrome and red. Makes it stand out from the black.

Round 2. Some improvement by scoring the red area between coats but still a bit ragged. Not so noticeable at a distance but up close the edges are not as clean in the red inserts. Good enough for now but I’ll likely just order some black and red AT4 emblems to replace the stock emblems.

Finally got around installing the Boost Auto tow mirrors. Now I can pretend I have a 3/4t AT4

When I first turn the vehicle I get the screen with all the information. Once I start driving though I only get the screen with the blanks. Is that normal?

No you should see the information while drinking. Do you have the comm option set to DMAX LM2?

I waited about 30 minutes

It’s probably labeled as vehicle selection in the menu but as comm in settings.

That's why I just broke down and bought all the emblems in black. Can you score the inside of the 4 prior to pulling it off? Also, how many coats are you putting down? Maybe putting it on thicker might help? Just throwing out some ideas.

Did you buy the emblems from GMC or aftermarket. If the latter do you have a link?
