I have no clue. There must be something if the fix works on the 23's and not the 22's...What's the difference between a 22.5 and 23? Is a 23 the new ones with the AEV bumpers? Or what is the criteria between a 22.5 and 23?

I have a build date of mid nov and it is a 23 and I don’t have the AEV bumperGot it. Was just wondering if what I bought - a 2023 AT4X without the AEV bumpers - is considered a 22.5 instead of a 23. It possibly could be, I suppose I would have to look at the VIN to dig deeper into this. I believe mine has a late Nov 22 build date, but need to check more closely to see if my memory is accurate on that. I do know that it arrived off the semi to the dealer on Jan 4th of 2023. I bought it literally a half hour after it was off the semi. They hadn't even had a chance to prep it at the dealership. I had no idea the AEV bumpers were going to be a stock item on the AT4X's shortly after I bought mine. Kinda wish I had the AEV bumpers, but it worked out how it worked out. Can't turn back the clock on the purchase.
It is kind of crappy that GM doesn't have a fix for this issue, though. I don't use remote start personally, but definitely won't now knowing it could possibly cause this issue with my truck. My wife uses remote start daily on her 2020 AT4 Carbon pro. Or at least daily about 8 months of the year, which is how long our winters are here in Montana. She wants her truck warmed up before she leaves for work at 7:40 every morning.

There has been the AEV edition of the truck. But starting with 2023 I guess build date after Jan 1 or so regular AT4X non AEV edition comes with the AEV bumper.July 8 2022 is the date on this. Not sure when the actual use in production occurred.

I personally use a side-by-side for what I would need the AEV kind of equipment for and am super happy about my AT4 non-AEV bumper truck.
Agreed.I have the 22 R and all is well, note that the bulletin is for most models of Chev/GMC, someone at corporate has to play with the programming, that is why they now have OTA updates that so far I refuse to allow. Less electronics might be a good thing IMO![]()
Lawdog800SO I started my truck before work this morning like normal....
Yes. Knock on wood no issues since reflashLawdog800
Have you been using Remote Start since the BCM flash with no issues/reoccurrence?
My '23 did the same exact thing that you described in your OP.
I will have to call my local dealership and try to get the updated BCM program.
For future reference:
You will not find a Relay labeled 'PCM'... You can pull Relay 77 PWR/TRN (powertrain) to kill the power.
