STEERING STABILIZER

Have the cognitive 3” level kit with 2.0 fox shocks and PISK. When the fox steering stabilizer came out with Cognito, I picked one up and threw her in. No complaints and what a difference it makes!

I have a BDS NTD 6" lift with Fox Elite series shocks on 37" terra grapplers. I picked the truck up in Arizona and drove it 10 hrs. back to West Texas. The first thing I ordered was the RC steering V2 steering stabilizer. I just got back from a 3000-mile round trip to Augusta Georgia and back and all I can say is that made it like a whole new truck. If you are even on stock tires and suspension it needs to be done. For the price point I am very happy with the RC. I am sure the more expensive ones are just as good if not better.
I ran the Suspension Maxx with the rancho on my 2016 and about the only thing I can tell is the Rancho might be a bit stiffer....but otherwise they seem to be on par with each other.

i have to pick up a new stabilizer.
i can get the bilstein or the rancho locally.
both should work with the kryptonite bracket. i wanted to get the cognito fox one, but was told it wouldn't work with the bracket i have. do t know if that is true, the brackets look nearly identical.

which stabilizer should i grab?

I've never had a steering stabilizer on a vehicle. I run stock wheels and stock sized tires. I haven't noticed any challenges steering or bump steering, but then again maybe if I installed one I'd realize what I've been missing out on?

Is this something that's recommended for someone like me? I have a Rough Country leveling kit in my 2023 1500 AT4 and also have air bags in the back for when I tow in the winter. Would like to hear your thoughts, pros/cons, etc.

Well, gm used to install steering stabilizers from factory. Hence the hole in the center drag link.

I believe gm dropped supplying the on the T1's. Cause I've seen them on the K2's.

I've had the Bilstein on for more than a year and no issues. Steering is tight, you may hear your steering pump more when you're sitting at idle trying to turn your wheels and when going from a stop to right or left before the engine kicks in.

Back when I bought mine, Fox kit wasn't available. If. I had to go again I'd buy the fox to match the rest of my shocks. You should also look into upgrading the rest of your steering components. I also run the kryptonite ultimate steering package.

I could be wrong but I'm not aware of any steering stabilizers for the 1500 truck or SUVs. If memory serves me right, most of your steering system is electronic anyway (the rack) and isn't fully based on the hydraulics of a pump with fluid like the HDs, meaning your computer gets to control your steering input just right.

These stabilizers are only for 2500+ to include the old 2500 suburbans which are based on the truck frame wise.

True.
