Squeak coming from front end

Good news update. Took it to local GMC dealer where I have faithfully gone since 2016 and they diagnosed it as incorrectly installed new struts which ruined the struts/mounts. So GMC installed new OEM struts and strut mounts. Rides incredibly better now. It fixed 3 different squeaking and squealing sounds I (and the wife) were hearing. She says that the truck feels better now than when I bought it. So the problem is solved. I have invoiced the incompetent shop and asked them to reimburse me for what I spent on their misdiagnosis and faulty repairs and they said would help me out. So fingers crossed they do the right thing and reimburse me. Never going to any other shop again that isn't the GMC dealership.

Don't settle for that answer. I had a rear leafspring squeak around 2000 miles; during the third visit they agreed to rock the truck by jumping up and down on the tailgate step whilst another tech used a stethescope to conclude the rear springpacks were defective. Three weeks later they replaced springpacks, U-Bolts etc. and the problem obviously went away.

I now have the same issue on the passenger rear on my ‘24 1500 AT4. it’s driving me nuts. I’ll try this when I go to the dealership. So it was only a faulty springpack? @pinebaron

Yes. Dealer replaced both spring packs, ubolts, all hardware. New spring packs were dark in color and looked different from original, perhaps because they were recently manufactured.

Follow up from me. Was prepping on a Saturday to take the truck into the dealership. Pulled myself off the ground using my B&W hitch as a brace and heard the squeak. In my case, the squeak came from a slightly rusty hitch pin. Upgraded to a better pin and the squeak is gone.
