Squeak coming from front end

I am out of warranty now by 1k miles, it’ll be on me I suppose! I’ll have to climb under there and see how the heat shield is.
Out of warranty is arguable if you have documentation on a RO while in warranty. Even if they say couldn’t replicate. You then are asserting the dealer missed it, and the foreman or general manager will either it or get manufacturer to pay. If it’s not documented on a RO, you have no assertion.

The dealer (Tulley GMC Nashua NH) I’ve been going to hasn’t been able to replicate several issues I’ve brought in and documented on an RO. I’ve had this documented in the past for a squeak and they couldn’t replicate when in the B-B.

For example, my front driver-side speaker was clearly blown. The first time I brought it in, they said they couldn’t replicate it. The second time, they told me the distortion was just “normal sound” at 60-70% volume. Then, right after my bumper-to-bumper warranty expired, they suddenly agreed it was blown…only now I had to pay a diagnostic fee and $400 for the repair. They charged me TWO diagnostic fees, one for the speaker and one for the squeaking I’ve been talking about. I was able to get them to give me a credit for the speaker diagnostic fee ($195) seeing how it was no more than a minute of the technicians time to identify.

I declined the $400 repair for that and just did it myself for $50.

I have a squeak that is coming from my front end, I can hear it distinctly when my window is down but also in the cab. I have been underneath and have tightened everything I could think of. If anyone has any recommendations or similar experience, please let me know. I drive a 2022+ GMC Sierra 1500 AT4
Check out your upper strut mount, that is the exact sound mine was making to start and eventually along a loud clunk started going over speed bumps and angled driveways.

Did you replace the mount? Or just reset it and greased it?
Replaced it with new mounts, it was less than $50 a mount. Take a look at the passenger side strut mount from the engine bay. You should see the top of the strut and the nut that mounts the strut to the strut plate. Mine was not centered and was touching the metal part of the truck, if you take the air box out you can see the driver side.

Looks like that’s the case for me too. On both the driver and passenger sides.

Do you still have the part # for the mount?

I had a squeaking issue similar to this and it was because the Sway Bar Mount bushings needed to be loosened and greased after the previous owner installed a Level Kit. It was driving me insane for weeks.

NS 902122- that was thru NAPA, the factory rubber mount used 3 locations to hold the mount still were the after market is a solid block so I went with after market. You may want to check if the AT4X is different from the AT4. 2022-2025 GM - 85528668 is different from mine 85541993

Just wanted to update this thread and also thank you for your input. I changed out my UCA and nothing changed. I then changed out the top strut mounts and it fixed the problem!

Im at the GMC dealership now and they claim my strut mounts are shot and I hope I have the same issue and solution that worked for you. Fingers crossed. I want that squeaking to stop forever.
