New Owner & Bed Cover

Ones installed are 17" extended and 10.5" compressed. I found some 200 lbs ones 19.7" extended and 12.1" compressed which would fit. The question is where to find something that lasts; all this stuff is made in China and product quality can vary from crappy to excellent.

Just get a floor jack under there! 4 ton capacity 😅

I'll get you some pictures of my diamond back once it gets lighter outside. 5th wheel is accessible if you buy what I have (the switchback).

Initially I was going to buy a cap but didn't for the following:
-once a cap is on, its not coming off. Meanwhile my diamond back was a one man job and comes off easily
-the diamond back material is very heavy duty feeling. The top coat is just like a bed liner. While I feel scared to scratch the rest of my truck, I found myself throwing things up on the diamond back without a second thought
-thought I saw a story somewhere of a truck either rolling over or a tree falling on top of the bed and the diamondback still in one piece with everything inside secure
-was going to get a cap so I can get my dogs to ride in the back. However, I quickly learned that the bed is deep enough and both my dogs (golden and lab) fit underneath just fine (with the top tailgate down for air)
-the switchback can carry a load of 400 pounds on top
-and finally, to me, having a cap defeats the entire purpose of the truck. Id lose 5th wheel access and won't have the ability to carry very tall and heavy things that a cap would otherwise not be able to accommodate within

I have several floor jacks. Need to figure out away to quickly elevate all four axles to take weight off tires, to prevent flat spots, when not driving a week or more, particularly when we are on vacation.

They had parking pads to help prevent this bud. Saves from having to lift all four tires off the ground. At least until you get yourself a lift.

I considered them but disliked the idea although better ones are available.
Large Vehicle Tire Savers
Its defiantly not going to be as good as lifting all four tires off the ground, but for a quick fix for only a week or 2 thought that may be a easier option for yeah is all.

Hi all - I bought a 2025 2500 AT4 one month ago and have loved it. I looking into a bed cover and really like the Diamondback options due to their security & seal. However, finding pictures of one on a 2500 seems hard to locate.

Does anyone have pictures they can share? Or any pros/cons from their experience with Diamondback?

The only con I can think of initially is not having the ability to use the entire bed at ease & covering the 5th wheel access. Not as concerned about the 5th wheel based on my use.
I had a diamondback bed cover on my Chevy 1500 for 4 years. Had full elk on it no problem. Tie downs are solid. Only con is if you are filling up your bed with hunting gear or luggage I would have to climb in and under the cover to get the bags up front. I wish they would make one that opens up 3/4 of the truck bed not just 1/2 from the back. The tool rack up front would be a lot quieter if you install carpet in the bottom first - I live on a gravel road and that helped a lot. Hope that helps.

I keep a really long handle windscreen broom/squeegee in the back and use it to move stuff back and forth. During xmas it was packed to its limit with food, presents and our luggage bags. I've got better and better at manipulating the broom, almost eliminating a need to get into the bed (which has a full gmc rubber mat). I now need to be extra careful if ever getting into/under the rear cover with recovery gear stuck/mounted below; could easily do serious damage to my old but still full of hair head :ROFLMAO:
