It looks like it's setting on the hinge area of the inner gate, going all the way to the front of the bed, under his crossover toolbox....
Is this a load strapped to the lowered inner tailgate rather than being secured inside the bed?

So far so good with mine.I'd bet about 98% of these tailgates have a dent or paint scrape in the same spot.![]()
No, the load is resting/laying on the upper tailgate which is lowered. It is strapped down to the tie down hooks inside the bed. Front is under the tool box.I tweaked the upper tailgate unloading a heavy toolbox. We had the tailgate open as a normal tailgate but the entire weight of the box on one side was solely on the inner/upper gate and bent it down when in the all flat position. It no longer opens as easily now either.

You damn youngin's. I remember those days. Kinda. Now I need these...Both my 22 (sold) and my 25 have the multipro tailgate and other than lowering them when new to put in the lights they have never been used. I use the step in the corner of the bumper and when I had my sled deck on I used the rear tire as a step to climb up on the deck.![]()
You are correct, I will be 77 in 10 days and still quad and sled whenever I can get out.You damn youngin's. I remember those days. Kinda. Now I need these...![]()
What a beautiful scene!Use mine regularly. Dropped only the top section while closed to transport longboards, wood, etcView attachment 33845
Did the exact same when we picked up our Christmas tree!!!Let’s see some pictures of the real world usage of the MultiPro tailgate in action! I love this thing
Keeping knees and hips in shape and good working order is the key to mobility as we grow old.I figured when I got mine it would be just a gimmick I'd never use. Seems like I use it all the time. Although, it's mainly for the step to get into the bed, or to make the tailgate shorter so I can reach into the bed further. 5'8" puts me on the shorter side of life, and although relatively young I guess, years of hockey has taken it's toll on my knees and hips. I don't jump off tailgates anymore![]()
It’s like the car mfg’s know that only older people will buy these and know we need help getting into the bad. Getting older is tough…Keeping knees and hips in shape and good working order is the key to mobility as we grow old.
Just turned 80 last Sept. Seems like everything has really become harder to do. Not complaining, just the way it is1It’s like the car mfg’s know that only older people will buy these and know we need help getting into the bad. Getting older is tough…
