I have used mine a few times and in the all down mode, I just tweeked the paint below the tailgate buttons so it has removed some paint in an up down pattern where the reciever kissed the tailgate....

Use mine as a step, to reach further in to the bed and for listening to some tunes when tailgating. I'm happy with it!

I have used mine a few times and in the all down mode, I just tweeked the paint below the tailgate buttons so it has removed some paint in an up down pattern where the reciever kissed the tailgate....

I'd bet about 98% of these tailgates have a dent or paint scrape in the same spot.

there are 3 there, turned sideways. My 2 are the gunmetal gray and my buddies is the tan one. we drove from pa to sd to kill some pheasant. love the kennels, worth every penny, safety of the dogs and peace of mind.

I tweaked the upper tailgate unloading a heavy toolbox. We had the tailgate open as a normal tailgate but the entire weight of the box on one side was solely on the inner/upper gate and bent it down when in the all flat position. It no longer opens as easily now either.

Gotta say I felt the fancy tailgate was unnecessary.....but I gave utilized it a few times

Is this a load strapped to the lowered inner tailgate rather than being secured inside the bed?
