Update on chip retrofits on my truck for those that are interested. I took delivery of my 22 refreshed AT4 in May requiring retrofits for the heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel and parking sensors. The seats were done in November after I had to inquire about them with my dealer. Last week my App indicated I had a recall so I called the dealer to see if that was for the still missing chips. I was told it was for the DRL recall and for installation of the chips/hardware required for the heated steering wheel. So I made and appointment and took it to the dealer. They gave me a loaner because apparently the heated steering wheel retrofit is very involved. So after a few hours they called me and said while the DRL recall was done (apparently it is just a software update) they could not located the necessary chip/hardware that they thought they had in stock and none can be had. So no retrofit and no word on when it can be done. At least I have heated and cooled seats!

It's ridiculous, really. You'll have had the truck a year and still not have all of the chips they didn't build the truck with.
I assume you ordered your truck? Seems ordering them means one is more likely to get skimped in some area on chips. That, and wait forever to get your ordered truck.

Yes I ordered it. I am conflicted on this truck. Except for the cold hunting camp starts in the fall and winter airport parking lot starts, I have thoroughly enjoyed the almost 15K of flawless miles. But geez...$70k and I am coming up on a year of chasing them and even then only 1 of the 3 missing chips have been retrofitted. Definitely ridiculous. Part of me wants to bail and just trade my loan free truck for a competitor truck. But I think I will just exchange one set of problems for another. When I starting getting too upset I just go to the diesel threads here and be thankful I don't have some of their issues.

You have every right to be pissed. It is entirely unacceptable to wait this long for missing chips. Those same chips are in my 2023 AT4X which I just got a month ago today. The chips you are waiting on are being used for other rigs. Your truck should be the priority, not put on the backburner.
I hear you on the diesel issues. I had a 2020 AT4 3.0 ltr diesel. Loved the truck and engine, but the dreaded "service emissions system" warning came on, and 4 weeks at the dealership (I was working out of state the time), stranding me 1000 miles from home, and the dealer unable to fix the problem after replacing multiple sensors and they still had no clue how to fix it.... I gave up. I got a really good $ amount on trade for my truck, and also got about 4 grand off the MSRP of the new AT4X I traded for. And also didn't have to pay for the pending repair bills on my truck. My truck also needed new tires badly, had a few dings (I am a contractor - it happens), a broken windshield and a few other things needing addressed, all things I would have had to dump several grand in to fix. Still got a high dollar trade amount for it despite those issues, so I did the deal.
I really like this 2023 AT4X so far. The 6.2 is more fun to drive, the ride quality is way nicer with the new shocks on the AT4X, the improved interior is a big upgrade (not that my 2020 AT4 with technology package was bad), and I am happy. Didn't want to trade, planned on keeping my 2020 AT4 for 6+ years, but it was not meant to be. Hopefully I don't have major issues pop up on this 2023 AT4X down the line.
I hope they get your chips installed soon!

Had the heated-cooling seat “retrofit” done last month took about an hour and went smoothly, still waiting on the steering wheel. Firstly let me say I am really enjoying the truck. Just can’t say the experience with GM has been as rewarding.
I waited 12 months to have this retrofit completed, I suspect several more months before any chance of the second promised retrofit. The most annoying part of the entire process is no communication. I never received any notice from GM regarding the availability of parts, found out by calling the dealer (monthly) I had a reminder in my calendar.
I do get monthly upsell contact about ONStar, seems to indicate the focus of their attention, sell something you get included with a Ford and ignore maintaining the product you already sold.
I as well am amazed there has not been a class action on these issues, corporate irresponsibility and greed.

Get my chip for heated and cooled seats 2/23/2023. Dealer no update on heated steering wheel. Front camera rebooted also. Works fine now.
Been 13 months for seats. 2 winters without them. 5 degress F this morning, Brrrrrr.

That's just ridiculous you have had to wait that long. New trucks were getting these chips off the assembly line, yet you were put on the backburner....
I see you are in SE Nebraska. Lincoln or Omaha? I grew up in NE Nebraska (a little west of Norfolk). I've been doing a lot of work/jobs in Nebraska the last year, so was working there for 4 months of last year. Leaving MT for NE tomorrow to do another 3 to 4 week job actually. I know it has been cold there! Supposed to warm up this weekend then get cold maybe snow on Tuesday. At least you have your heated seats now!

I was at the Dealer this AM for my 1st oil change, the day time running light recall and the missing hood insulator. No luck on my cooled seats. They half work, just missing the bottom blower. The dealer said that I have to wait for the offical notice. They said the system will not let them order them for me until I am officially notified by GM. Hopefully before summer.

That doesn't sound right to me. I may be wrong but I was led to believe the "heated and cooled seats chip retrofit" is an all or nothing deal. Both don't work until the chip is installed. I was told that some trucks are also missing the "module" for the heated and cooled seats so that has to be located and installed along with the chip. Fortunately my truck had the module. You certain that your seats are just not broken or defective? However what your dealer said about the official notice was my experience.
My window sticker has it listed, not equipped with front seat cushion ventilation (later refit}. Heated seats/steering wheel are fine. The ventilated seat backs work, not the bottom cushions. I was told I am missing a blower motor not chips. Mine was built in Aug 22. That is all that I am missing. I do not think there is any commonality on missing items.
